Like the aptly titled Master of Mimicry, ROB44784, I also have the superpower of Exceptional Empathy. Scientifically, this means that I have an excess of what is called Mirror Neurons. When I hear a paper being torn, I do not think: "That is a sound of a paper being torn.", but rather I feel what it is like to tear a sheet of paper and what that entails (the feel of the paper under my skin, the firing of my muscles, the timing of the pull, and so on). So when I am under a fMRI (functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine, I would have the same neurons firing when doing it myself or hearing or seeing it happen.
What this means is complex. First, I feel what the other person feels so I can better understand where they are coming from. This extends to facial expressions, posture, voice inflection, and many other situations. Everyone has it to some degree. Doesn't every guy cringe when another guy gets hit under the belt? The second part of this is that I am more acutely aware of small differences from what I expected to happen next (from my planned path) and what happened next. This is how deceit, illness, and discomfort is found out.
My brother was a Neurosciences undergrad and is now a Radiologist specializing in Neuroradiology and using the fMRI by the way. I haven't really done extensive testing although my brother conducted two years of research during medical school, because he was part of the testing team, but now that he is graduated, I might go in just for fun.
The second Superpower is really a congenital defect in a way, but you would be surprised at the number of athletes that have it. My calf muscles (and to some extent my hamstring) is always contracted. This gives me a fraction of a second head start on reaction time since I do not have to contract the calf muscle at the start of any movement. This is best seen in Soccer or Tennis and other games of sudden movement. I also practice Aikido. Morihei Ueshiba, the originator of Aikido, dodged a bullet in World War I (legend says) using these techniques and his reaction time.
I always thought that if you combine my two Superpowers, I could dodge the first bullet. If I looked at a person's head, I could maybe anticipate their brace to fire and move before they actually fire using my speed and beat the bullet (since I could not literally be faster than the bullet). In Aikido, if in proper position, you can move your center 5-7" in half a second.
Now in reality, I would most likely be flinching often while the shooter is just looking at me and more likely to get shot than if I just stood there and tried to talk him down.
I think the best way I could scientifically show my second Superpower would be similar to the Babe Ruth/Albert Pujols motor skills test, except instead of finger tapping, it would be toe tapping. In general terms, I jump twice for every normal swing of a jump rope.
Hm, let me see...well, I believe I can on a small level control electromagnetic fields and electricity and stuff like that. Here's what I mean: around Christmas time last year I was helping putting lights up on a tree at school. The string worked just fine and everyone passed it all the way around the tree a few times and then one of the people asked me to take her place for a second so I did. Then they passed it to me and the second I touched it the whole string went out! I'm not sure exactly why we were stringing the tree with the lights on but we were. And, get this, I can't wear watches because they don't work with me. My aunt has the same thing. Plus I'm always shocking people with fun static on accident and usually when I touch metal stuff there's a shock so big you can see the spark! I'm like a hero, whoot!
Two powers. Either flying, cuz who doesn't wanna fly? or controling fire, like Pyro from X-men. Fires an awsome thing, not solid, liquid, or gas. Symbolizing purification and destrustion. Using it means walking the razor edge between using it for good and wantoon destruction.
I can't remember if I posted it here, I once exhibited telekinesis, but I can't do it intentionally it seems. I threw a crumpled scrap of paper at a wastebasket and missed by a clearly visible margin, but then the paper changed course in midair by a good 90 degrees to land in the basket. There was nothing around the wastebasket it could have bounced off of, and it was clearly below the rim of the basket when it changed direction, if it had followed its original arc there is no way it could have landed inside the basket.
I have the uncanny ability to revert into animal instincts when under duress. When someone comes up behind me or touches me unexpectedly or threateningly, I tend to snap at them and growl. Apparently, I bare my teeth when physically exerting myself.
Also, I have an extremely hard head. I mean really hard.
I also may have superhuman reflexes, but they're completely used up by my superhuman clumsiness. One time, I caught a coffee cup and all of its contents only inches from the ground after dragging it off of the table with my elbow.

Sometimes I dream the future. Or know things about other people that I shouldn't know. Or that they didn't tell me about. So in conversation they will say something to me, and i'll say yeah I know. And they'll say something like; how could you know, i never told you. I thought this ' real ' type super heroes power thing was a genetic evolutionary thing, like the premise of the show. I devoted a blog to finding people with similar experiences. As it turns out people have written in with some really cool stories. Come check it out sometime when your bored. I have the ability to recognise faces considering changes in appearance due to the aging process, which means whenever I meet someone that crossed my path in the past, I can remember.
This must be pretty special, because none of these people (like someone who was with me in kindergarden) could remember me, but I mostly even remember their names...

I think I might have had a precog moment. I have a co-worker who lent her cell phone to her son and some guy asked to borrow it. He let him take it and the guy swapped out the sim cards and ran up a bunch of calls on her card!
I was thinking about that this morning and how I would handle it, when this dude who was like ten feet away from me, called out to me. I looked up at his "Yo lady."
He wasn't even making eye contact and his fists were sort of clenched. He asked if he could borrow my cell phone, it was an emergency. I was so floored by it, all I could do was shake my head no. His body language made me nervous. I should have told him he could ask the doctor nearby for use of their landline, but he zipped past without another word.
I wonder if he would have done the same thing as the other guy? The timing of the whole incendent was rattled me. Coincidence or conjured up? I'm hoping its the first one.
I feel bad about not letting the guy use my phone. What if it was an emergency? I was mostly alone in an empty hallway so maybe I wasn't being overly careful.
So anyone else have weird moments? Cool moments? Stop time? Make something float?

One time in middleschool, I had a dream that one of my neighbors and his friend brought his go-kart over and asked to use our air compressor to air up his tires. And then I offered them sodas. When I woke up I was like "Well, that's a dumb thing to dream about."
But a month later, it acutally happened! I mean, I haven't had anything like that happen to me since then, but...gosh. It was kind of a "Heroes" moment, wasn't it...? o__o
Ha-ha! It was! I like to think its a coinkydink on my part.

I have a weather leg too. Arthritis since I was a baby has made my leg ach a few days before any weather changes happen. Rain, snow, lots of wind, whatever is being called for, I can tell if we get it or not. I'm only 31 so hopefuly as I age, this won't get worse.
I teased my mom about it one day and held my leg out and hopped in little circles and said it would rain on Tuesday around 2:30 pm. I'll be danged, if at 2:31 on Tuesday, big fat rain drops started falling. I was driving and freaked out a bit and pulled over and called my mom at her job. She was spazzing too. LOL
Since than, I can't actually predict weather like that but I know within a day or two if we will get whatever is being called for. Its neat but a pain to deal with.
I seem to have some minor stealth, precognition and have lost a time travel ability and a greatly enhanced mathematics knowledge as I got older.
I can sneak up on most people I know, once in a while while talking to them.
Of course, the bad side of the stealth power is that I'm able to get lost much better, although to help that, I can tend to find people (without my glasses, I could figure out which direction someone was in compared to me).
For the precognition, it's usually to tell if a pair like each other (with almost 100% certainty), and if they will date (about 80-90%), although I've once dreampt that about someone changing their hairstyle.
Then I also used to jump forward in time while walking. Not by much, but I'd lift up my foot and get a weird feeling, and my foot would be on the ground. Except that I didn't take the step forward. I know this from when I fainted - I could feel myself walking then, although couldn't see. When doing that, I didn't feel myself take a step.
As for the math knowledge, I was able to help fifth graders in their math homework while I was in Kindergarten. I think it's more that my math level caught up with my math class.
Now, my brother has a higher body temperature, an enhanced vocal capability and an reinforced head. All of these seem to have been decreased since he was a baby, although in different quantities.
He used to have temper tantrums where he would slam his head against the ground without crying. He'd keep doing this until one of our parents would get him away from the floor. But, the last time we headbutted, it hurt him and not me.
Our babysitter gave him a bath (using normal to slightly warm water compared to what she normally used for the babies she took care of). It was too cold for him, and he cried loud enough to be heard in a house a few doors down across the street. Now, he's still loud, but not quite that level. He recently took a bath, and when he got out, commented that it was a bit cool for him, but he was bright red.
Please let me preface this by saying to you all that I am KIDDING, and I am not trying in any way to invalidate your experiences. I have had slightly weird things happen from time to time, but instead of thinking something supernatural was going on, I generally blamed the limits of my human and sometimes sleep-deprived perceptions.
Draker, I used to get that time-slip walking thing all the time! But I thought it was because I only had 2 hours of sleep before getting up at 4 a.m. If I was walking, momentum sort of kept things going. If I was standing still, I would wake up when my knees started to buckle.

Umm, when I had a dog, taking her out about fifteen minutes after she had a big drink was sort of a standard requirement. Unfortunately, I did not have the empathy thing going, so when she was thirsty, she would have to bang her empty water dish around if I forgot.
