see i don't have surround sound and my g/f and i usually eating some scrumptious dinner that she cooked up so between enjoying dinner and watching the show i tend to miss little details. which i gotta tell you guys, closed captioning is AWSOME!!! they usually say, (footsteps) or (bullets falling) so you know what is happening off camera of off focus. but alas the TV now doesn't have CC getting a new one this weekend... i need a surround sound though... droool

Until you get surround, just watch that episode again, you'll see when he gets a bit startled, and looks straight up. Visual give-away as well, but yeh the sounds there also.
IMO best scene of the show thus far. I had my legs up on my couch all anxious when I saw Hiro
By the way, i think the scar will be big i'm afraid...

- 1. Claire died and NY got nuked, Future-Hiro came to warn that the Claire must live
- 2. Claire got saved and NY wasn't nuked, but Future-Hiro came to wanr: if Claire dies, they won't succeed

They probably caused all these parellel time lines. When you go from the future to the past, you can NEVER return to the future you came from!
The place that holds all these parallel time-streams is called the Core Matrix.
When a Time-Stream shifts it's Global, that is called a TimeShift
but you can also have a LOCAL shift and it is called a reality-shift.
Now, our brains are programmed to not notice these changes.
But, everyonce in a while, there is a glitch and you notice
BUT you usualy explain it away.
Buldings appear faster than normal or look different, your favorite shirt may change colors, things appear or dissapear (have you ever lost your keys, to look in the whole house for them, then find them in a palce you SWEAR you already searched?)
ALSO there is the "Time-Shift Living Dead" These are mostly celebrites.
These are people you swear are already dead.

SO, if Hiro fears causing a "rift" maybe he has the power to travel back in time AND go back to where he left, as long as he doesn't get stuck in the alternate-event he created by visiting it out of a normal linear time-line! THAT is why he is in such a hurry at the end!
I don't believe that is the case at all. I believe you are looking at it as sort of a "Rogue" ability of draining the power from another person.
However, Issac didn't look weak to me when he was finishing the painting? On the rooftop Nathan looked fine when he was levitating.
Just to play Devil's Advocate on this one point, Issac was not trying to paint in the scene you reference, and Nathan was not attempting to fly when Peter levitated. It still could be the case that Peter drains their *powers* without weakening them in general. This would explain why Nathan struggles when flying to catch Peter, even though Nathan seems to be a VERY capable flyer when escaping from HRG (other than the landing being a bit rough).
[Seriously though, the 3-4 seconds if you listen when Peter looks up, Hiro is walking on the roof of the Train., so that would account for the time delay in the freeze and Hiro showing up.
Train? Isn't that an underground? Shouldn't that supposed to be in a "tube"? Is there enough room to walk???

i can't remember for sre but when future hiro told peter the whole "save the cheerleader save the world" thing didn't he at first say peter looked different without his scar?
