Has anyone seen Kate and Leopold? What if Hiro's appparing in the present doesn't change anything, because that is what always happens at this point of time. It would actually change what will happen if he *doesn't* appear in the present timeline.
I don't really think that, but it is something to think about. If that is true, the blast in NY will happen no matter what happens. The rest of the series may take place in a post apocalyptic world like Dark Angel. I wish Jessica Alba was in this show. *Drool*
Oh, right, the topic. What were we talking about again? Of course Angelina Jolie would make a great addition to the cast.
*shudders at the thought Brangelina Jolitt in the show*
I really just want to see how this group of heroes are going to fight. None of them look like they have much experience.
I don't think there will be much actual physical fighting. I am guessing it will be more about the mind. They will each have their own powers, and will work together to defeat the evil. I can't wait for them to all get together, and see what happens!
*shudders at the thought Brangelina Jolitt in the show*
Well, if they wanted to kill the show, yeah.
I see the same comment wasn't made toward Jessica Alba. Angelina is an aquired taste, but my hypothesis is that everyone finds Jessica Alba attractive.
From what I read the scar that is given to peter is from Hiro, and that Peter will be shaving his head sometime during the series. Can any one say Lex Luther?
here's my take on one possible meaning behind the scar remark from future Hiro. i think maybe future Hiro might possibly be alternate future Hiro. Maybe the Heroes didn't meet up in time to save New York resulting in Peter being scarred. I think Hiro maybe there to help push along the eventual meeting up quicker. Just my theory. Any thoughts??
My question is: How do you guys know Future-Hiro is from an alternate future? Did I miss something?
My Answer is: We/they don't *know* anthing for certain. Hehe. They are just making guesses based on time travel theories used in movies and such before and how Heroes can avoid major issues by making it an alternate future...doesn't mean its true though!
I may of missed it (if someone covered it) but its a simple concept to understand.
If a time line flows in a traditional manner, it will lead to one ultimate outcome. However, if one were to reverse the flow of time and visit the past, hey may switch around a few things which will change the future.
Such as, for instance (as an example)
Lets say Peter dies... he cant save the cheerleader, the world goes to stuff.
Now Future Hiro goes into the past and saves peter's life. Peter can save the cheer leader, the world doesnt go to stuff. However, with future hiro...his universe is a differant outcome from what he changed. Now what the time paradox is, is that if he goes back in the past to save a person that saves the world, Then he will have no need, in the future, to go in the past and save the world, because it was already saved. Of which, Hiro would not go back in the past.. Peter would not know anything about his death and the cheerleader wont be saved. Thus, forcing hiro to go back in time to save Peter... you get the idea.
well three pages i read and no mention of this but it probably doesn't make sense anymore... when i saw the previous last week and watched the show BEFORE hiro met Nathan in the desert, i figured that Peter would die somehow and then Nathan would be riddled with guilt and be a good guy but use his brother's name. my theory went to stuff when Hiro and Nathan met in the desert though... but i thought i should still make a post
1) Different timelines appear since messing with temporal continuity, thus having different realities with different futures.
2) All this already appened and Hiro is just doing what he has alreay done.
- May the scar appear when the nuke hits NYC?
- Or maybe he gets it when trying to 'save the cheerleader'...
- Another option is the sudden loss of someone's powers when being in a complicated situation (like flying with his brother, spliting in two directions, and falling dooooooooown....
If we are talking about case 1) different timelines, I think a dramatic tour de force would be present Hiro dying to save Claire, and since the 'other' reality is already screwed, future Hiro takes the place of present one.
Question, will there be any episode with both Hiros meeting?

let's not forget the lessons that Back to the Future I II AND III tought us... you never know what will happen if your past self meets with your future self. when his then g/f and future wife met, they merely passed out. who knows what could happen if they hadn't, HiroP meeting with HiroF? the world will end.
It all depends on how you understand time travelling. For example, in BttF 2, 2 versions of the same person share time and space and they even see each other, and the world is not over.
Well played, EKI . I concur. AND, that assumed, Peter could be Sylar... and Matt (cop) could be HRG.
As far as the rift is concerned, I think future Hiro was coming from a future that was playing out as Hiro (and whatever group he is with) desired .... and they only needed Peter to change a few simple things for them. Thus, the shortness and simplicity of Hiro's instruction. On this idea of abruptness (I have posted this in another thread already), I think Hiro is aware that when Peter gets anxious, his siphoning abilities increase. Hiro was runnning the risk of being trapped in that time instance, if Peter siphoned his time-traveling ability (and yes, at this point, I think it is siphon, not mimic).
Good question. I addressed this in another thread. If you recall, all we know about that incident was that Peter jumped, Nathan flew in for the rescue, and then Nathan began to struggle with his flying and strength.
Later, it was revealed that both flew. Thus Peter siphoned Nathan's ability causing Nathan to weaken and he had to either drop Peter or they both fell. Regardless, I think it is quite obvious (from last night's exhibition of going SuperSonic and the ripped muscles) that Nathan is easily fast enough and strong enough to support another human in flight.
