Presumably they were in cahoots, based on his conversations with Ma Petrelli. Any thoughts?

Good question... what was his illness anyway - I forget... did they mention it? Maybe he had the same virus as Molly and Shanti, which is why Linderman couldn't heal him, for the same reason that he couldn't heal Molly.

That would actually make sense. Also...

It would explain (as someone in another thread posted) the person worse than Sylar, according to Molly. Peter was seen while invisible, and if Molly can look for him, he could look back with the same ability, no?

For one, I think Deveaux's power is pretty insane. Also, it's quite obvious that his power had something to do with peter's dream/flashback/deveaux talking to future people/peter going back in time invisible and deveaux somehow being able to see through powers portion of the episode. lol. So I don't think he would have been infected with the disease because then he wouldn't have been able to use his power. I think maybe linderman didn't heal him because deveaux felt it was his time to go....you know he didn't want to be healed.

Deveaux didn't seem to be on board with the plan to destroy NYC. Linderman might not have wanted to heal him.

Linderman might not be able to heal all forms of disease. Reversing the aging process would be a different power altogether.

I heard the pigeons when Deveaux, Peter, and Mrs. Petrelli first went out there, and I thought, Claude could be there right now.

I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but Deveaux probably knew Claude was living on the roof. Before I saw Deveaux out on the roof tonight, I had thought it possible that he and Claude didn't know about each other. But now, even though Claude can be invisible, I don't think he could have LIVED on that roof if Deveaux was regularly taking fresh air up there, without Deveaux figuring it out. And that roof should have been a terrible hiding place for Claude - The Company had been (and maybe still was) using it for meetings at times. But if Deveaux were hiding Claude from The Company, it might have worked. ("Stay off the roof this Tuesday between two and five - Thompson and Linderman will be meeting with me there.")

And if Deveaux was going out there regularly in his last days, Claude should have seen Peter sooner or later. But then why would Peter believe Claude when Claude told him that he had never heard of Charles Deveaux? ("You didn't notice us when we were out there every afternoon the weather was good?")

Of course, I don't know if Deveaux went on the roof regularly. Maybe it was just once in a while.

Maybe Claude will be back next season with some dirt about Company meetings Deveaux had on the roof.

I think that it would seem very likely that linderman would not want to heal him. Think about it. Linderman believed that the explosion was a neccesity and needed to happen. If Deveaux was running around trying to convince people that it could be stopped then Linderman would possibly begin to lose influence over certain people. And he is obviously the type willing to lose a friend over what he thought to be a greater cause.

Because Charles would be "more powerful (thru death) than you could possibly imagine".... My guess is that (A) Charles didn't want to be healed and (B) that he wasnt on board for the whole bomb blowing up NYC thing. I've also just now had a thought! Maybe Charles wanted to be in Peter's care? He wanted to have that contact with Peter for some reason. Maybe he knew about Peter's abilities and wanted to transfer his powers to him?

I believe Linderman didnt heal Charles as he was againt the idea to blow up NYC it would make sence. But why Angela visted him thats another question. Any guesses at Charles D. power?

I would guess Charles' power is somewhat a combination of Sanjog's power with an ability to talk to the people in your dream. Not even necessarily dead ones.

I dunno. I tend to see Charled Devaux and Kaito Nakamura as the loyal opposition to Linderman and Angela Petrelli. Linderman and Angela are working towards their interpretation of what needs to happen in order for order and stability to happen, and Devaux and Kaito are using their powers to have their interpretation of what the future needs in order to stabilize.

The same goal, two different roads to take. It could even be that all four were trying something different, but Angela and Linderman agreed that the explosion was necessary. It could be that Charles and Kaito were doing something completely different from the other.

I think it's clear that Linderman and Charles were working across purposes. Charles wanted to stop the bomb while Linderman wanted to let it happen. They were adversaries. Linderman let Charles die because he didn't want anyone in the way of his plan.
