yes he had her powers, but thats after hiro changed that part of the timeline...

im saying WHEN the explosion originally happened and sylar killed claire and sylar could regenerate when hiro stabbed him, peter never met claire, sylar killed her before he got to meet her. then peter blew up new york and had a scar, then hiro tried to change it, so he went back and told peter to save the cheerleader.... Peter saves the cheerleader, sylar doesnt have regenerating abilities, peter does... but the scar remained.

sorry acid, last i read, nathan wasn't returning. i guess we are gonna meet someone who raises the dead!

oo... that will be amazing, maybe thats why sylar returns!

I think I'm in the Peter lives, but Nathan is dead camp.

That said, I didn't particularly like the resolution. My expectations for the writers and creative team have been very high. So.....

Why couldnt they just jam a sharp stick into his head, then pull it out after he has simmered down (lierally)?

In other words, they acted like there were only two options: Peter dying, or Nathan dying, when that wasn't actually the case.

A better conflict resolution would have been:

Peter starts to go off, BUT ... his newfound strength, and his belief in himself and what he is doing allows him to "control" the power, allowing him to respond to Sylar that he is NOT the villain.

Sylar gets really pissed, and wants that big boom, he's unhinged. If Peter won't explode, then he will. Hiro ports in for the kill shot, but it's not fast enough. He stabs him, but Sylar sends him flying, and the chain reaction in his body has already started.

He is dying, but it will be a "special" death. With his last strength he holds Peter at bay telekinetically while the explosion builds. But he is so intent on his big moment, and Peter, that he doesnt see Nathan rocket in to grab him. Before he can react Nathan has him miles up in the air. Nathan was a hero after all.

And they still could have found a way to bring Sylar back.

He doesn't even look bothered by the fact that Peter is spewing off radiation lol.

There's also another possibility here.

Everyone assumed that because Tawny Cypress had been posted for showing in the finale that it meant that Simone wasn't dead.

However, all it meant was that she was there for the flashback Peter has.

Thus, even though Adrian Pasdar has signed on for season 2, this doesn't mean that Nathan survives the blast.

It could very well mean that he's going to be there for backstory. After all, it's called Generations, correct? We're going to be seeing not only the past, but the future. There's no guarantee that Nathan will be in the 'future' episodes, but he is pretty well assumed to be in the 'past' episodes they'll be showing.

Does that make sense?
