I think his concentration was broke by the body hitting the door.

I got the impression that the noises startled him and by the time he regained composure, it was too late. Dark-Niki is very strong, but doesn't appear to have any power-supressing abilities (otherwise DL would have lost easy).

Maybe he just can't use his abilities on other "heros." Or maybe Nikki 2.0 is not only super strong but fast as well.

Also, I don't get exactly why she killed the poker group - was that the same ones that they went to find out the identity of the girl that DL found out about? I thought it was two seperate groups and that Nikki 2.0 had been a very busy girl.

niki 2.0 definitely is super fast in order to cause that much destruction in that short amount of time. im not saying Flash fast... but pretty damn fast. Hiro did stop time in order to talk to Peter... so im not sure about the whole not being able to stop time when other heroes are around but then again, peter's the mimic. the poker players knew who she was and that she was the girl who took that job, thus she had to take care of all witnesses.

If someone really wanted it to be future hiro to be the one that did it here's a fun theory:

Since afterwards he is ashamed because he didn't save them ( i think he was just in shock and Ando was talking to him, when they finished talking it was all over), he wanted a do over. Maybe that was his do-over. FUture-hiro saved all those nice pokerpeople from niki, by killing them himself. Man Future hiro is blood thirsty.

I just enjoyed thinking of this, thought I'd share.
