After all the stuff we've seen you think Ando is the light? I'm not going to hate on it simply b/c its far-fetched enough to come true..... But I'd imagine it's Claire. She looks to be "the catalyst" for Mohinder's formula... Then again referring to someone as "the light" b/c they possess the ability to complete a formula that enhances or gives you your abilities seems trite. THE LIGHT should be a beacon of truth or selflessness. Giving abilities synthetically is a selfish move and referring to someone or something as the light seems wrong. Sooooooo, maybe "the light" is a person that can be the ambassador or the liason between specials and normals. So maybe Ando isn't such a bad choice afterall. Then again, he ends up with powers in the future too so who knows...... SO MANY POSSIBILITIES

Like I said in the spoilers forum, I think the catalyst is The Eclipse.

And The Eclipse is "THE LIGHT ONE"

Semantically, it TOTALLY makes sense Cool

Heh, yup I still think it's Gabriel.

And I'd just like to point out that Kaito does NOT say "the light one"... he says, "the light," which is something I didn't realize until I re-watched the first episode last night. So... maybe if Gabriel isn't the "light"... then maybe there are TWO catalysts that we will find out about:

Claire = The Pure Blood
Eclipse = The Light

id like it to be peter. because he is evrything that is light. he oes everything for good. not for the greater good. he was willing t sacrifice himself to save the future. sylar is the dark. he is everything evil he does everything for his own good.

how brilliant would it be if the catalyst was a combination of both peters and sylars dna. that would give meaning to the whole "two sides of the same coin" thing.

i dnt think it would be claire again because thats just lazy writing as she was the overall answer to curing the virus.wouldnt hink it was mohiunder as he was the origional cure to the 1stknown strainof the virus.

it could b ando. i really......really like that. he gets the electricity ability. what if its because he is completely pure.unlike even hiro there has been no mention of him going on about vengance all he wants to do is help. and he doesnt wanna kill or hurt people to do it.(unless u count him eggin on hiro to stab sylar in season 1 lol). that would be an amazing twist and finally give ando some realy meaning other than the comedyvalue that he brings with his interaction with hiro

The catalyst must have been around at the time they gave nathan powers. Maybe kept that part of the formula a secret from anyone else. Arthur said kaito hid it, just not well enough. Maybe kaitos ability was a ability/power transfering one and obviously must have hid the light in baby claire when she was kept at primatech.

As for the light one... Is peter the only one we see a light ghostly spirit type thing of when Arthur took his ability?

In this week's Behind The Eclipse, one of the questioners reminds us that the catalyst, the 'key', must be stored in human blood, and then the writers go on to say that it might have been hidden in someone else before Kaito hid it in Claire, and we'd find out about that soon (I'm guessing during "Our Father," when Hiro and Claire go back in time).

I hope they don't go too far with "the light" story or it's gonna be a sort of rip off of the matrix "the one"

Guys I don't even remember anything about "the light"! LOL! I don't think they are emphasizing it at all, so if it's important they better get too it!
