I had the exact same Popeye thought when that happened. But it would have been creepier if he had let loose with an evil laugh: "Aguguguguguguguh!"

I think it would be hillarious if later he came round from a massive smack hit, then realised he'd picked up the wrong needle box from Isaac's apartment... Didnt have his powers back at all... Just a dream lmao
