Whoa, how can you have a favorite Christmas movie poll without including A Charlie Brown Christmas? It's definitely one of the best Christmas movies ever, even if it is only half an hour long.

And I hate A Christmas Story with a fiery passion. Don't know why, but maybe it's because every year my little sister commandeers the television on Christmas Eve so she can turn on the 24-hour marathon of that accursed movie. Ugh.

(Yay first-postiness!)

It's not very Christmassy(?), but on Christmas Eve one of the local stations always used to play King Kong (original B&W) & we ALWAYS watched it. I have it on DVD now, but the only time I watch it is at Christmas.

Sorry to leave out Charlie Brown. There are way too many Christmas specials/movies to list them all. I even left out Christmas Vacation, which is one of my favs.

I'm gonna have to go with White Christmas. Gotta long Bing Crosby! My family and I watch that every year; it's a tradition! The Polar Express isn't bad either. I grew up with that book.

Oh my God, I want one! That would be so cool! Nah, my family just has the set of ornaments that Hallmark put out a while ago. There's Charlie Brown with the tree, Linus with his blanket, Lucy with the director's megaphone, and Snoopy with Woodstock.

Despite the current consensus my vote is for A Christmas Story
Darren McGavin who passed away earlier this year
was fantastic in it.
Oops, I accidentally hit the wrong button and voted for A Christmas Carol.

You have to give A Christmas Story props for writing, every year I laugh myself silly the first time I watch it. The Narration is what gets me.

True Christmas movie would have to be It's a Wonderful Life. But, Love Actually and Serendipity are some of my new favorites, though they are not true Christmas movies just set at Christmas time.

"Christmas Vacation" has to be given its' due, as well. That whole series is just awesome, in my opinion. I do hate the fact that the kids always change, though; same names, different actors.
