Funny that you mention it, Flap. I was actually thinking the other day that the dragon could be Hiro. After all, Hiro and Kensei are now in the same timeline, and I don't see Kaito going back to Feudal Japan anytime soon, especially not if he's
going to be killed off by Boogyman #2 in the first episode.
Not only that, we know that Hiro will be doing all of Kensei's dirty work and making him out to be the Kensei that Hiro heard of in stories. Perhaps the dragon asking for the life of the princess is a metaphor for Hiro asking for the princess in return for all of the good things he will be doing to boost Kensei's reputation. Either that, or it's a metaphor for Hiro taking the princess away from Kensei because Kensei will be turning to the side of evil. ONLY 5 DAYS LEFT!
I'm not allowed to disclose my sources.
But I will provide information linking the connections together.
Hiro goes back in time, he falls in love with the princess who is suppose to be in love with Kensei.
Hiro finds out that kensei isnt the man of legend that he has looked up to.
Hiro must help Kensei become that man of legend.
Kensei kills himself, but Hiro, being able to reverse time, can bring Kensei back to life.
After that, Kensei grabs a hold of Hiro and travels to the future. (In the stories, it explains that the dragon brought kensei back to life and brought him with him and Kensei dissappeared.)

Understandable... if you can't disclose your sources, then it must be because you or someone you know works closely for NBC or Kring... if myself, or anybody here, is skeptical about your spoilers though, please don't take any offense - such a reaction is only inevitable.
Anyway, do you just know that Hiro is the dragon, and have formed those connections yourself as a theory, or do you know those connections to be facts as well?
I don't know. Not to be rude, I'll totally back down if it's not true, but I was actually thinking the opposite. I always kind of thought of the bad guy as the dragon in that story. So.....I was thinking, maybe the REAL takezo kensei is the dragon. get me? Could it be possible that Hiro is the one the story recognizes at Kensei, but the TRUE story is that Hiro took over Kensei's role as Kensei turned evil and the dragon is the real takezo kensei. I don't know just a thought on my part.
"Kensei kills himself, but Hiro, being able to reverse time, can bring Kensei back to life. "
Why would he need to? Kensai can heal himself. I think this is a defunct made up spoiler. Sorry for my cynicism but I can't help it. Especially when I catch an inconsistency. However, I still think Hiro could be the dragon. I just think you've come up with this on your own rather than heard it from someone actually in the know.

I doubt the authenticity of the "sources" as well, but I don't doubt that Hiro will eventually end up being the "dragon", or at least have something to do with the dragon. Someone with such close ties to the show would know what Kensei's power is, as that is revealed in the second episode, long before we find out who the "dragon" is.
