On the boards I frequent, it always bothered me that my personal details were listed in the memberlist for anyone to see. On this site the memberlist is protected from view (only Mods & Admins can see it.) We respect your privacy and this is one of the ways we do so.

Memberlists are the easiset way to PM someone though!

Okay, I see what you mean. I've got it set now so only registered users and above can view the list, and will let members decide if they want their email address shown or hidden in their profile.

By the way, this is the error message for when people who aren't authorized try to hit the memberlist directly:

We respect the privacy of our members and our memberlist is private. Your sneaky attempt to view this page has been recorded and a team of attack bunnies have been dispatched to nibble your toes off.
