I found it interesting that Peter had to touch Mohinder to gain his power...not all that important because the drug might have muted his synching power a bit. What is interesting is that he did not already have Mohinder's super strength from when he met him earlier in the day.
Do you think Peter has gained more mastery over his power...ie he does not simply gain powers around him, but has to actually try to gain others powers (unless he touches them I guess...what with gaining Tracy's power and all). Or should this be filed under Plot device...
Also, would this mean he does not have Claire's healing power?
so what i was saying in the old thread is. i could see that scene with tracy the heat lamps and nathan before hte plane crash as a way to keep her in control until the plane ride. but now tht its after kinda adds a whole new level of the "Evilness" natahn is capable of.
I think it shows that nathan is really losing it. Theres one thing locking htem up because you;'ve decided they are threats. (Albiet tracy in a way did kill Knox pretty cold heartedly her only fear was HER getting in trouble) But that scene does say torture from pics you see of her in it besides that. Thats just a whole new level for nathan which is pretty dark. It does in some way say this plus her being first target that shes a personal vendtta he has.
I think it's pretty obvious that the "Heroes" are going to be treated as we treat "terrorists" in reality. Round 'em up, ship 'em out, lock 'em down. I imagine they were headed for a Guantanamo type camp. In fact prior info says exactly that. With that in mind I think this volume is set to be the best yet.
As most of you probably know, Heroes is on NBC's chopping block with NO GUARANTEES of returning next season. Personally I would be devistated if there was no Heroes next season, but I digress.
Kring has been heard saying that he took Hiro's power away so that the element of having an ultimate "do-over" would disappear. That option always left people frowning and saying "why doesn't Peter just go get Hiro and do it over?" Instead it'll be problems that have to be dealt with, with absolute consequence. Although I hope to see Hiro gain some of his power back (maybe be able to stop time but not travel thru it)... Think Magneto at the end of X3 when he moves the chess piece..... Hiro will slowly grow his power back and with Ando in tow, he should be fine.
Anyway--- This volume looks to be rooted in "reality" for the most part. That will give the audience more room to relate to the characters. If you ever felt bombarded and unfairly tried, you can already relate to this volume. And think about it like this, all the Heroes we've grown to love will finally be working together with a common goal. No more who is good/who is bad crap. I think it'll be fairly cut and dry who the good and bad guys are... Although there needs to be some ambiguity or the characters get stale. Anyway, I have a feeling this will be the best volume yet. I think we need to stop focusing on the hocus pocus Hollywood production and resort to good ol fashioned writing. You might find yourself getting back on the horse if you've strayed away from Heroes the past year or so. And I'd be willing to bet, this new season will grab new viewers most definitely.

I think peter can only use the power of the person he last touched. So technically after he lost his original ability he has gained a new ability after injecting himself with the serum. So my theory is that Peter's new ability is the ability to gain only one ability after contact with someone else and loses the previous ability. (hahah -- so many abilities in that sentence!) That's why after he touched Tracy he lost the strength from Mohinder (so started losing the fight) and started to freeze the plane when touched.
In general an okay episode. I just got a bit mad that they made Sylar too powerful. I mean after getting shot like five million times he was still able to resist the paralysis and kick bum.
Q: Does Ali Larter want out of her Heroes contract? -Barry, Naples, Fla.
A: “Malarkey!” consulting producer Bryan Fuller tells me. “We’re invested in Ali and Ali’s invested in the show.” Fuller’s crafting a major storyline for her character, Tracy, next season to reward the actress for being such a good sport. Fuller says Ali didn’t complain once while being doused with ice-cold water for an upcoming scene that lasted four hours. But the show is feeling network pressure to “eliminate” one or two original cast members. Fuller says, “We need to show we mean business.”
Man was this episode awesome. One of the best ever IMO.I loved the,"You want me to beg?Screw you.I dont beg for anyone",line from Tracy.Im guessing its like you guys are theorizing and peter can only absorb one power at a a time.He was tossing the Gov.agents around like ragdolls, then touched Tracy, hit one of em with a good right hook, and he just shook it off.Does this mean he will be cautious of touching other specials since absorbing Tracys power was an accident.
This is gonna turn into a Tracy fan thread haha, but I LOVED TRACY in this episode! I think she will of earnt a lot of fans back and i'm hoping they're moved away from what she was like at the end of Volume 3 to how she was at the start, which was she has feelings but still packs a punch. And it's good to hear about her major storyline, she flippin' deserves it!
Who the hell is going to go out of the original cast? In order of going i say:
Adrian
Zack
Cristine
Masi
Sendhil
Hayden
James
Jack
Ali
Greg
There is also Dania, but i'm fine with Maya being left in piece! I hope she's happy!
I think they can nix Greg and Sendhill they don't have a big fan base. In fact many people hate Mohinder right now LOL.. Course they could change him around by the end of the Volume, I liked him in the last episode. Though I did think he was stupid for getting in a car with some one he's never met before meh. I hope Peter doesn't get rid of his powers that he gets, I'm ok with him only being able to use one power that's fine. But I think they could let him restore his powers than use them when he wants to use that one power. I like that idea better. I do hope he trains himself a bit this Volume. I look forward to this Volume, really loved the episode.
Why didn't he save the plane? He could fly, he had super strength, and he can freeze things. Sound familiar to anyone? Like a certain super hero that's pretty well known for saving crashing planes?

This comment is in no way rooted in reality.
And neither is the one up there about Matt not having a fan base.
I want some answers and some good ones on Peter's powers...
I agree... Peter's powers need to be explained better. I'm not understanding that he is not absorbing everyone's powers on the plane. Maybe it will take time to develop like some people have said. At least let Peter retain the abilities he "mimics". I can't see Syler having the power to retain multiple abilities without Peter being able to as well.
On that note: I actually envision them teaming up in a future episode unleashing holy hell on the "kill squad".
So i take it PK hasn't come up with any major spoilers yet where Peter flies in shooting bolts of lightning and freezing people just before he punches them with super strength, shattering them into a thousand pieces?
