but, without looking it up, its basically something that causes something else. It is the starting point of something, often a chain reaction.
It doesn't just cause something to happen, it causes that something to happen at a faster rate than it normally would - in chemistry, this is done by decreasing the activation energy needed to start a reaction. However, an important part of it is that a catalyst is NOT changed in composition at the end of the process, which means that technically, Claire shouldn't be affected after being used as a "catalyst."
I know it's just semantics, but catalyst is the wrong word, because it seems like since/if Claire is the catalyst, she'll be hurting in some way. Spoilers indicate that HRG faces off against Gabriel while Claire struggles to survive. My theory is that HRG goes to Claire's rescue, of course. Additionally, I think that in the process of introducing the catalyst (Claire) into the forumula, she'll be badly injured in some way. Spoilers also indicate that a character

I think they're referring to Claire, and that Arthur can put her out of her misery. I know that Elle was mentioned in the spoiler, but I don't see a reason for Elle wanting to die. Arthur can just take away her ability to make her stop hurting. There's no reason for her to beg for death. Claire, on the other hand, feels lifeless to begin with. At least she has a reason.

big version of the pics
'3x17 Cold wars' is being filmed when this pics were taken. I guess he is some type of agent and Noah is too in away.
Gabriel is a a swat suit and he is carrying his disciple.
the teenager is the angst embodied character called david, rumored apprectice tooken under Gabriel's wing. Maybe to control his anger?
I wonder when will we see the present time [not future timeline] gabriel Vs. knox fight. Gabriel getting off a elevator, getting hit, ..etc. Maybe 3x12 our father or 3x13 war ?

nathan talks about dad and see him [will he hug him and get stripped of his powers? BTE week 6 spoiler suggests that He flies to hait and takes peter with him]
But... there are a few gigantic questions about those pictures we must ask:
1) WHY is Gabriel all suited up - looks like his body is being protected... but last time I checked, he could heal...
2) WHY does he have shotgun shells on his chest? Last time I checked, he had a plethora of abilities at his disposal to fight with.
There are only two answers I can offer:
A) He's powerless - Arthur will take his abilities at the end of "Villains."
OR
B) SWAT doesn't know that Gabriel is a "special".
I'm going with the first... YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST
Also, based on the spoiler pics for episode 11, I have a theory:
Samedi doesn't have an ability. Just a lot of guns and fighters. Which is why The Haitian is wielding a gun too.
...eh, but then again, the episode is about The Eclipse stripping people of powers... so maybe Samedi did have an ability but lost it to the eclipse... blah...

I don't see why Arthur would, other than to slightly help his cause - Arthur already has flight from Peter. And who knows if Arthur can take the same ability twice, even if it's from different people... he probably can, but I'm just putting it out there.
As for Nate flying with Peter to Haiti, it could be the conventional way in a plane. After all, wasn't it implied that Nathan DIDN'T fly Matt to Philly when they went to confront Maury, and instead took some other means of transportation?
Alright, looking at those fugitives pics, this is my thought on whats going on. An educated guess:
Sylar has suited up as a way to infiltrate the group of hunters that are tracking down heroes. "David" the boy is a captive of the hunters and Sylar is rescuing him. Perhaps the hunters have a power-suppression technology (like the device on David's chest?) and Sylar must go in the old fashioned way.

nathan destiny is to be a great leader. Arthur wants him to be president.
I think Nathan refuses though.
Peter is trying to stop claire from becoming a killer
Mohinder makes intersting discover. A person hold sometime that will hold the formula together.
The powers he studied are linked to the eclipse.
he thinks it is just a coincident that the eclipse appear when the heroes received their powers?
http://www.heroes-france.com/news_1226624164.htm interviews and scenes of claire escaping knox / flint. Also, scenes of matt telling peter and claire that Angela is awake. However, Matt's first reaction is anger [he was sent to Africa and he saw Nathan get shot].

Thats my theory anyway.
So, what you're saying is that there will be a 'specials' side and a 'hunters' side in "Fugitives" and that Sylar will be on the side of the heroes? Or in other words, a 'good' guy?
I think the thing on David's chest is a bomb. That's my theory
Somehow I missed your post. Probably because you're brown. j/k
Well, my answer was more elaborate anyway...

No, not necessarily a good guy. Just a guy doing something that happens to be a good thing, to serve his own pupose. Thats generally what Sylar does.
Masi Oka was present at the morning show on NBC Today Show. Heroes come for promotion, it did not come empty handed but with a new excerpt from a forthcoming episode.
We see Hiro play with his face impassive to Ando. They finally téléportent in a comic shop: Sam's Comic book shop. That is where we should find the characters Sam and Frack embodied by the actors Seth Green and Breckin Meyer (see Episode 3x11 Synopsis: The Eclipse, Part 2).
Hiro and Ando
Ando is trying to help Hiro to remember how to use his powers. The scene ends with Hiro and Ando teleporting to Saturday's Comic book shop.
New photos on the set of Heroes circulating on the Internet, you can see Greg Grunberg and Sendhil Ramamurthy.
In a recent interview with the site tvblog.ugo.com, Greg Grunberg revealed, speaking of Volume 4: Fugitives, he was running with Sendhil Ramamurthy:
We will review Molly, and I worked with Sendhil last night (the interview date from early November). We both met to plot really cool. It's funny because, speaking yesterday afternoon, I said "wait a little, how at any moment I wondered what became my friend?", Everybody was concerned to see Mohinder become a monster But Matt has never raised the question of where his roommate was or what was happening to her. We were very happy to work together last night and what we shot is terribly exciting. It was really good
