JUST HAVING FUN WITH THIS ...... SO KEEP AN OPEN MIND
Also - Daphne's power is going to be a relief in my opinion. She'll be so fast that once she is moving there won't be many people who can stop her or have an effect on her. If Hiro can't truly control her, then who can? Somebody like Maury for example who can get into her head. It seems like distance was not a barrier for Maury Parkman and he could therefore enter someone's head irregardless. The possibilities are endless. I don't see anyone else being able to stop Daphne with a physical power unless it is something like a forcefield (energy density manipulation). I think this would be a great power for someone to exhibit on the show! Seems like it could be quite a defensive as well as an offensive power. (Think of Fantastic Four with an underused forcefield power: blow up a heart or stop an explosion from incinerating you. - The options are endless with that one! And... it seems like it would be a great way to slow down someonr like Daphne, protect yourself from Echo, Elle,Hiro.... Perhaps the only one that could get through at this point would be DL or Peter (phasing), but then again, would a mental power be able to project "through" an energy forcefield or would it have some sort of disruption? Ok, just theorizing here and HAVING FUN!
It can be assumed that time never truly stops when Hiro is "freezing time" but moving at such an incredibly slow rate that movement isn't noticed. And as someone else says, Hiro can interact with objects during "frozen time" meaning he is moving an object at the speed he is travelling.
Daphne has been shown that she moves so fast, she is essentially invisible to people (just like Hiro freezing time and moving around going unnoticed.) It can be assumed Daphne happens to move at the speed that matches Hiro when he retards time, thus equalizing the effects of both powers.
BTW, why have we heard NOTHING about Monica? I hope they didnt drop that storyline all together and hope we'd forget. It was the most promising new part of Season 2 (even over Elle if you ask me.)
micah isnt even IN the cast shot for this season. so i wonder if they are totally getting rid of him too. other sites are confirming spoilers that tracy is NOT a new person but is in fact an amnesic personality of Niki's.
ok... Tracy - amnesiac personality of Jessicas, even if "Jessica" never existed! Who knows who is the real "person".
Micah will definitely be present for seasons to come, but he may not be "shown' the way we want him to. He isn't dead - yet.
As for the Heroes Level 5 powers: Anybody have any theories out there besides us knowing that Echo is one POWERFUL guy and DAPHNE (not being a level 5 escapee is as well What other 4 characters are LEVEL 5? THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW! ! !
well if a report is goin after her about niki;s actions and htey elude that they are her own. then she has to be an amnesiac personality of niki. Interesting twist. Tracy better stay away from those mirrors she might get a shock!
Well, I think Adam and Angela did have a child just because the way she told Matt that Adam had a unique perspective on things, it almost sounded like she fell in love with him, especially given the fact she couldn't leave him until the very end. So, we look at who the child could be. Peter is a bit too young, he was born over a year after Adam was locked up. Nathan's too old, he was born before Angela met Adam. Matt said his father left him when he was 13, and then said he hadn't seen him in 15 years, making him 28, Adam was locked up 30 years ago, so he's too young. Hiro's too young, I think he's 25ish, so that leaves either Niki/Jessica, or Sylar, and I'm pretty sure either of them is possible, unless it's someone I'm just not thinking of.
[quote="Action}PK, we know that Hiro retards time. It can be assumed that time never truly stops when Hiro is "freezing time" but moving at such an incredibly slow rate that movement isn't noticed. I hope you don't mind me asking, but how do we know that? Where has it been said that he doesn't stop time completely, he just slows it to the point where you can't notice things moving? I've never heard that before, and I don't think it can be assumed at all.

Anybody put a list together of heroes powers? ^The Villians from Level 5 that escape? There has to be some serious bad asses which is why they were locked up to begin with. Another "Mimic" maybe? Another Sylar? Another Time Traveler? We'll more than likely see some "super power" duplicated; however, there have got to be some serious others that we'll be exposed to.
What haven't we seen?
Well, we've seen hydrokinesis in the Graphic Novels, but not in the series yet, so my guess is that if they have one guy generating gigantic blasts of flames, they also might have a guy who is composed of water.
Oh, and Echo definitely has a ridiculously incredible power - I'd venture to say that he could level an entire city... (*cough*Tokyo*ahem* lol)

Our answer to that, of course, is The Haitian. But see, that's my problem with Daphne's ability. There can't be someone with an ability that nobody (aside from The Haitian) can stop. Even Sylar could be stopped, and the writers expect me to believe that a thief with superspeed can outmatch Sylar? If Daphne's really as skilled as we're making her out to be, then by the time ANYBODY decides to take action and use their power against her, whether it's Maury, or Hiro, or Sylar, she could be halfway down the block. Aside from The Haitian, I don't like the idea of her superspeed getting past everybody else's ability.
That being said, I actually think Sylar might be able to stop her with his TK.
Wait!!
SYLAR COULD DEFINITELY STOP HER. Remember when I asked before, "How can you stop what you can't see coming." Well, let's think for a minute. Maybe you don't need to SEE her coming to stop her... I think Sylar will be able to HEAR her coming, if they do share any upcoming scenes. Thank you, Dale Smither. That's mah theory!!
In regards to Micah and Monica not being in the picture, maybe it's because their characters are the only ones who will NOT have internal good/evil conflicts. Meaning, everybody in the picture will, at some point in Season 3, have to make decisions between "good" and evil." Just my 2 cents
though now that it hink of it it makes sense to bring tracy in. they already did the good/evil inside arc with nikis character alone. so they had to some way mix it up.
The whole adam thing i think its niki/jessica. We never heard hide or tail of her mother. and Hal obviously wasnt the best person with kids. Add in the fact they've pretty much built in Niki not knowing much at all about her child hood its all possible their daddy could be Adam.
We know Hiro retards time from the episode where his powers went wonky in the museum, and instead of freezing things, everything just went kind of slow. Did they show Hiro moving faster in relation to everyone else in that scene? I can't remember.
I would think its more a matter of Hiro moving faster in relation to things, than time slowing. Remember, time is bigger than Hiro's power, it more controls him than he controls it.
I would think there isn't a point where time can stop. Just go so slow that it starts moving in reverse. Time is after all a dimension, and you can't "stop" length, width, or height.
bah! lemme say, i am TRULY sorry....i read "angela+arthur" and 'adam' skipped me ha...that wouldnt be so bad...angela+adam= sylar....but then, i kinda like the idea of sylar being "the son of a watchmaker" who ends up having the ability to 'know how things work'
also....if adam IS/was sylar's father...i'd DEFINETLY want him to kill adam+take his power (rather than claire staying alive etc)
but yea, i'm not jumpin on that wagon...the 'i can hear daphne coming' is ..i dunno is that possible? i mean, she was moving so fast, the 'sound waves' were frozen in time right?
didnt we see a clip? those were soundwaves she produced right? i'm assuming 99% that she can move faster than the speed of sound (and faster than nathan can fly for that matter) not much faster, but faster
how can sylar 'hear' her coming? maybe if he just noticed like...the 'differences' in soundwaves, and she'd have to be coming from kinda far away, otherwise he'd have no time to react
which brings us to the haitian....i love the haitian, and his power is becoming more important
i pray they never bring another power-cancel type person, its why i love the haitian so much...now if only he spoke less...it woulda been kinda cool to see the haitian pwn echo... a few things though...
echo is deaf right? if the haitian is around...can he then hear again?
where is the haitian during all this!? (the escapees)
i dunno, kinda sounds like a false example to me...when hiro's powers werent quite working right..time slowed because he had just enough 'juice' left to do that...
he couldnt STOP it because he wasnt strong enough/experienced enough
remember later? when he tries to reverse time by just a few minutes (parking guy was charing ando+him an arm and a leg) he couldnt
i think hiro STOPS time, and this 'he slows it down verrrry slow!" needs some kind of like references/evidence not just "i think its what he does' i mean..if u think thats what he does cool, but i'm actually starting to think they had an eps entitled "hiro doesnt stop time, just slows it down to where u think its stopped' and then explains it
Thanks for the props everyone who gave them. The more I think about it, it seems Hiro does only slow time down to the point that it seems stopped. Think about it, if time were really stopped, there would be no way even Hiro could move or do anything, because his velocity would be undefined, so the theory that he just slows time down to a nearly infinitesimally slow rate makes sense. So in this case, who can stop Daphne? Well there's the Haitian. But how did everyone forget Peter? He would gain her ability and be able to move as fast as her, plus he can already stop/slow/control time and space and teleport. Plus even if Hiro can't "stop" time so to speak, he can still teleport, too. And Sylar can hear her coming (although it's doubtful he could do anything about it unless he develops super fast reflexes somehow), so she's definitely not invincible. I don't think Matt or Maury could do anything to her while she's moving because they wouldn't be able to get a "lock" on her, and same with Molly, but if Daphne was not moving and caught off guard they could do something. However, the most rediculously invincible character prize still goes to Peter. He's the "Doctor Manhattan"/Neo/God-like character of our series it seems. They need to keep finding ways to put a leash on him or things could easily get out of control.
