Samantha in Eugene, Oregon: Any scoop on Heroes? Is Niki coming back?
If you threatened to electrocute me with your lightning powers, I'd say...no. But I'd also tell you that doesn't mean we've seen the last of Ali Larter. I'm hearing that the plan as of the last time the writers met up (prestrike) was for Niki to be dead—but for an alter ego to take over. Not Jessica, not the whipped-cream chick from Varsity Blues, and that leaves...come on, you can guess it! It's someone we've seen before. Of course, all that is subject to change due to the current holding pattern.
I hope to god she's wrong and doesn't mean Gina will make a reappearance. Jessica IS a villain. And her one liners are priceless. I hope Kristen is wrong (does happen often) and we see Jessica and not the stupid, ditsy Gina.
Yeah, Kristin is normally wrong as she said that Jessica will be coming back a few weeks ago. However, she says Jessica won't be, Niki won't be, But who is "the whipped cream chick from Varsity Blues" referring too? I know Ali has played this part but does she mean Gina?
Even though this not is certain, Gina better have a deeper meaning if it is her. I just can't see this writers bringing her back, she was useless! I would prefer Jessica to come back 100%! This has got me confused!
lol You can put this with my wacko theories, because it's so out there, but is it possible she could be DL? Maybe her way of dealing with his death? I know. It's ridiculous. But possible I suppose. It could be another female character we've seen in the past who died, but I can't think of who it could be, that Jessica or Nikki actually met at some point. Maybe her mother whoever that might be. Nah, that's too much like psycho. Who knows... Just throwing some guesses out there that others may not have though of.
After watching those Volume 3 clips, I would say the new villain (knox) is the one who killed hiro, matt and he is the one throwing claire against a wall. Remeber episode 13 was a future episode. So i think this future is a bad future caused by the new villain and the heroes would have to stop him to prevent it.
I definitely agree with you, Kane. Originally, I thought that the silhouette of the person throwing Claire against the wall was The Haitian, but after seeing who I believe is Knox kill the cop, I definitely think it is him killing off our other Heroes as well. Kudos!

I think the latest graphic novel definately confirms that Adam and Niki are related.
He mentions a name he has once used called 'Richard Sanders'.
So... anybody wanna hop on the Popkorny theory bandwagon in my signature?
(That Adam is Niki's biological father...)

Word on the street is that Maya could possibly be pregnant with Syler's baby. God I hope that the rumor remains a rumor. I want the writers to do something interesting with Maya, in her own right, before they give her this kind of plot.
I agree... that would be utterly ridiculous... it would give the show a new tone, IMO...

If Gina returns, I'm going to break something. Lol.
They just seriously should have put the multiple personality disorder to rest and had Niki learn to control her super-strength. In the Season 1 Finale, we saw Niki use super-strength TWICE, and in Season 2, it's as if her character has regressed. Really REALLY poor writing, if you ask me. There really was no point to having Niki in Season 2. Aside from saving Monica, she contributed nothing to the series.

That's not a wacko theory, Led. I like the thought a lot. Let's think about it this way. When Niki was a kid, someone whom she loved dearly died/was killed. As a result, Niki developed a personality for this person whom she had loved dearly.
In Season 2 of Heroes, someone whom she loved dearly was killed. As a result, I could totally see Niki develop "DL" as a personality.
It may sound weird to many (a female developing a male personality), but has anybody seen the movie Identity? It was cleverly done in that movie (a male developed female personalities), and I think it could be cleverly done by the writers of Heroes.
However, while I do like the theory, I don't think that they would go in that direction, and personally I am against them prolonging this multiple personality disorder thing in general - it has gotten out of hand lol.
it really isnt very odd. the person sybil considered the original mpd had 2 male personalities and 14 female ones including her own and that of an preverbal infant.
Reading about them is kinda sad in a way because they are child personalities and truly beleived that as THEY grew up the body would become more male.
on another point i did work with a female whose dominant alter personality was male.
I personaly like the MPD arc because i study the disorder. But last season they werent as key on it. And htey really confused a lot of peopel when they had bob go "oh its the powers causing it" even though it existed before that and kring nad leob already confirmed its not that.
Season 1 i loved the mpd arc. season 2 as i said not so much. Though idid like the twist with Gina. I felt from the beggining that somehow Jessica would cause Niki to kill him. But then they became aquainted due to being froced due to her knowledge to work together. Then season 2 i knew it couldnt be jessica but that mabye someoen else would show up.

Good point, Jessica! Maybe this is why I personally didn't like the MPD arc - because they weren't as clear about it until Season 2, and during S1 they left open the possibility that it could have been some type of supernatural, transferring-of-spirit type ability.
I guess I just feel that they shouldn't have led us to believe that Niki had control over her body at the end of S1 when she used her super-strength. Since it really is MPD, perhaps you could answer this, but I would think that the disorder could NOT appear and then disappear within 6 months (since that's the duration of time that S1 took place in). The fact that Niki seemed to be in control of super-strength at the end of 6 months of having the disorder is what the issue was for me - believability.
popkorn615 very well said. They made it seem like it could have been more and in S2 we were kind of let down. It also doesn't make sense as far as MPD go... I mean you're dead sister comes out and SHE also has a power? If they were going to go with the MPD thread, they shouldn't ave integrated the power with it. It really confused us all.
makes sense if jessica was her protector in lfie as she obviously was for her to make the personality be based on her. the mind is an odd thing.
and yes it can go years with nothing happening. they even played out right where at first niki did not have knowledge of it and that hse gained awareness. it realyl was played out quite well. tahts why i never thought it was anything else but it. problem was they played it out so well taht unless you had some knowledge of it it would be confusing.
I'll field any other questions people might have i enjoy this topic!
Hey guys I found this sight. The first two parts we know but the other pieces of information have been dragged up from older interviews. It's great mulling over all of this... to see what is in store. Go past the Volume 3 part... it's quite interesting, if only to remind us what will happen.
