The only positive is we won AT Arkansas last week. But who knows? I feel like, I'll be donating 500 waffles to you.... Whatever. I said, I will, so I will. I am not backing away!
You only donate them if LSU wins. I have to make the donation to you if Auburn wins. Both defenses are strong and LSU showed that they can shoot themselves in the foot as well as anyone last week at Kentucky.
Yeah, you'll get your waffles, but the FINAL score should have been Auburn 24 - LSU 23.
Terrible officiating. You throw a flag for not enough men on the line of scrimmage, and then you pick it up? You call that officiating? That led to the score being LSU 20 - Auburn 13.
And then, in the final drive, the officials kept giving LSU some mighty good spots on the ball.
I got to tell you two things:
1) SEC is the best football conference in College.
2) IF LSU doesn't play better next week, Alabama is going to beat-up on them (as much as I hate Alabama).
>.o the calling in that game was alright except for three plays. The first was the chop block against Dorcey that wasn't called. The second was the flag thrown on that touchdown play LSU had where they waved the flag off afetrwards although it was illegal formation. The third was when they spotted the ball wrong on LSU's final drive for that first down.

All 3 of those plays, cost us.
To me, officiating should never affect the outcome of a game.... Oh well.
I was surprised Cox played so well.
Here's hoping we knock off Bama this year. Saban has too big of an ego......

Anyhow, congrats!
They got some favorable spots by the officials, but not any more than any other home SEC team---I refer to the game at Auburn last year.
I agree that the officials sucked in that Glen Dorsey was chop blocked right in front of the Umpire and he did nothing. There were numerous holding calls that should have been made.
I agree that the SEC is the strongest conference.
Alabama and LSU both have a bye this weekend before facing each other in 2 weeks. Alabama is good, but does not have the depth of talent that LSU and Auburn do currently.
Don't bother bringing up any of the previous games. They didn't happen. The season started Saturday. Just need Ohio State, B.C., Oklahoma, Kansas, and Hawaii to lose. It could happen. Then we'd finally get the USC-LSU title game we all deserve.
Herc did have a good point on the 3rd down spot that gave LSU the first down on their final drive. They were clearly at least two feet short. It should have been reviewed or challenged (did Auburn have a T.O?). Sure, LSU probably would have gone for it on 4th down and got it, but the running clock would have resulted in fewer seconds and a lot more pressure. In my mind, they were short enough to not even require a measurement. The clock should have ran. At least LSU would have needed to take their final T.O. They then would have had to go for a longer field goal, if they made it, and forced things more to get there. Not a gimme. LSU was/is a better team and got more credit for the win than they deserved. Easily could've lost.
