the 2 universes don't quite mesh with power levels, but if they did...
Unfortunately Peter has too much of an advantage just with Telekinesis
Iron Man: How would you like a Repulsor Blast to the face, punk?
Petey Boy: Yes, please... I'll take two.
Iron Man: you asked for it
FZAPP! BOOOOM!!!
Iron Man (armless): Ow ow OW!
Petey Boy: Oh yeah, I probably should've warned you that I telekinetically sealed the thermal exhaust ports on your gaunlets, my bad...
Iron Man (armless): ow, ow, owie, ow...
too bad, since Iron Man is Uber Cool & Pete's a chode, TK is just the shizzle |

| Yeah, even without the powers he accquires in the explosion timeline, he'd be way too powerful for Iron Man. Timestopping. TK. Either one of those alone would give him the win. |

ok yeah, I obviously have to weigh in here. These responses are biased.
First, Peter wouldn't have super speed or electricity control, as those were gained from the future timeline scenario and can't be considered. If you did, you'd have to assume 5 years worth of improvement in Stark's designs as well.
Time stopping would give him an strong advantage, but we've seen that you can't actually affect people in stopped time. Hiro needs to unfreeze time right before trying to kill Sylar. Objects he throws seem to maintain inertia but freeze upon leaving contact with his body. (the poker cards) Peter could move Iron Man in stopped time (with super strength), but couldn't bend or break or harm the armor. Any inertia he imparted to Iron Man via a stopped-time "throw" would be counter-acted by IMs boot thrusters or simply ignored on impact. Peter's strength is not great enough to actually harm IM alone. Being able to tear a safe open is the limit we've seen. IM can withstand punches from the Hulk...
As for telekinesis (TK), we haven't seen a good example of the powers potential. All things lifted thus far have been 200lbs or less. 200lbs = large human. For all we know, IM might be too heavy for Peter's TK to lift. Anything of size 200lbs hurled at IM via TK would simply bounce off. This includes "sealing blast ports" or whatever. We just don't know if the strength of the TK is up to the task.
Invisibility is easily negated by Thermal vision, which IM possesses. Magnetic control would be a pseudo counter to TK for metalic objects. Plus most versions of IM have a force field, if needed. Peter's flight speed and maneuverabilty are probably on par with IM.
Summary: Peter probably can't harm IM, but IM couldn't "catch" Peter because of time stopping and/or teleporting.
Result: draw
(although if one were after an "objective" and the other was trying to "thwart", the offensive party would almost always win, scenario depending...) |

Ok, last night's episode showed that the Telekinesis power is able to affect targets much larger than 200lbs. Sylar flipped an armored truck over. Without much mental strain either. IM probably weighs less than an armored truck, although magnetic stabilizers and boot thrusters could compensate in certain scenarios to make IM "heavier" than normal.
The next approach for IM would be to outrange the TK power. We've seen it work from roughly 50 yards away. IM's blasters have a vast range. Some of his blaster variants (I think they're called Impulse Blasters) have a range measured in miles. And his targeting system can make them connect.
Having said all that, the power of the Telekinetic ability as displayed in last episode swings the battle towards Peter at this point. |

| we talkin' future peter petrelli or the one we know right now? if it is present peter then in a ufc he stands no chance against even minor comicbook characters, peter can NOT get himself going in any situation , sylar takes him out with a piece of glass . peter petrelli needs to pull himself together and do something ... anything ! |

I believe Iron Man would win based on his experience with dealing with super-powered villains & the fact that Petey just isn't creative enough, or smart enough to take on someone of Iron Man's calibre. My previous statements were based on the fact that someone who wasn't borderline retarded (far side of the border, IMO) was going to be fighting against Iron Man.
Quit the hero-worship, people. Milo Ventimiglia seems to be a competent actor, but the Peter Petrelli character is a complete and total moron without the self-actualization needed to be a true hero. I'm also pretty sick of seeing his CONSTANT need for reassurance for just about everything in his life... I wish the best for Milo & hope this show launches him to superstardom, but my fondest hope is that Peter Peterlli "saves the world"... then dies.
Sorry about the rant, but the whole "look I'm pretty & dumb & I'm the ONE!" went out with a whimper in those craptastic Matrix movies. |
