James : It's been fun - Japanese is not my native language, but I studied some in college. It's been a great opportunity to study it intensively
SuperHiro : That's very impressive! You speak a few languages right?
James : Besides English, I speak Korean fluently, and have done some work in Chinese also

SuperHiro : "what made you want to become an actor? Are there any actors who you take inspiration from?"

James : I began doing some basic improv in Boston & it sparked a new energy within me

James : I really admire actors who are chameleons - someone who can completely disappear in a role
James : being able to live out multiple lives is a perk

SuperHiro : "How many auditions did you go to before landing your first gig?"
James : Believe it or not, my first Tv gig was actually my first ever Tv audition
James : It was a guest spot for a show called "jag" on Cbs
SuperHiro : I remember that show
James : It was a bit surreal, being in the audition room with actors I recognized from Tv
herodude : I missed the first part of this due to connection problems so if it has already been asked or is out of bounds just let me know. My question is related to the show. Does Ando have any superpowers?
James : I really didn't know anything about the business back then
SuperHiro : Next question:
SuperHiro : "which of these is the most difficult for you: Preparing for a scene; acting the scene; waiting for the scene to be finished in post production; watching the scene; receiving critical reaction to the scene. "
James : well... i don't know if any of these are "difficult" for me per say - each has its own process. I Love prepping for a character - doing various things to live out his life
James : Prepping is a lot of homework, where as actually doing the scene is more of a playtime
James : depends on the project itself also

SuperHiro : "hollywood and New York vs. Hong Kong and Seoul... who wins?"
James : in what sense?

James : it was a show I wanted to watch, whether I was part of it or not

James : Comedy is definitely harder - which is why I love it so much
James : I currently study & perform Improv
SuperHiro : Do you perform in La? If so, where at?
James : I study at I O West (improv Olympic)

SuperHiro : "what can you tell us about your role in the upcoming video game "The Darkness?""
James : I play a couple of characters - an informant & a detective

James : the game itself looks very elaborate - we did what is called a "motion Capture"
James : i wore a tight wetsuit with motion sensor pins all over them, and had pins all over my face for facial expressions

James : I have heard of Rain - he's very talented

ChicagoSkyline : What has it been like shooting scenes with Masi Oka? Your characters are great friends on the show, have you and Masi also become friends?
James : It's been great to see the writers really explore our storyline
James : everyone on the set says we have the most fun on the show

David : I am a big fan of the Bravo series "inside the Actors Studio" One of the question the host always asks the guest is: If you could do any profession besides the one you are in, what would it be?

Too bad, I missed it, but it was at 4am CET & I was sleeping so well at that time. My wife woke me up at 7am and first thing I thought was "Damned, I missed it!".

BTW The best part of that conversation was the confirmation, that they did the Las Vegas scenes on the "Las Vegas" set. It wasn't something I only guessed, because if you watch carefully, you can clearly see the Montecito logo, especially in the scene when Hiro & Ando were thrown out of the casino through the backdoor (the logo is on the wall right besides the door).

I really don't know what happened! i think I out-multi-tasked myself! phones

*shrugs* I still got a thrill from reading the transcript!
And, kudos for the mods (man, the Gremlins strike again, that sux, SuperHiro)
And, seriously, you mere mortals were very well behaved! I've seen nasty childish mayhem sometimes these things! I know we all want to speak, but really! mad

so, good job peeps!
what else ... oh, the mod that had the clever way of asking people to ask their questions, CHEERS! Cool

And James was so funny and cool, he seemed to have a great time, I hope he did. That was really nice of him to take time for us!
and, what he had to say ... wow I thought I was already excited about this show but I'm even MORE excited now!
That would be hilarious if one or some people had useless powers.

Thanks so much for posting the transcript! My sister had emergency surgery, so I had to leave town at a moment's notice and totally missed the chat. I told my sister that I was so mad at her for making me miss House on Tuesday and this chat, just because she had to have surgery, lol.

She's doing great. She had to have her gallbladder taken out. They didn't plan on doing it this soon, but she had to go to the emergency room due to sharp pain, and they decided it couldn't wait.
