I watched the TV Guide channel and I learned that Simone tried out for Nikki's Role and Suresh was supposed to be an older man in his like 50's. Weird huh?? Anyone else see that? Just imagine what that would be like.......I like their current roles better. Very Happy

Although I wouldn't have minded the woman who plays Simone to play Nikki.

Thanks for the information. It is always neat to see who might have been cast in the role instead. I will say that I think they picked a great cast and now cannot imagine anyone else playing the roles.

I don't think it is all that unusual for this to happen. But, it is fun to think about how the show would have been different.

Yep, it is quite common for this sort of thing to happen in TV and movies. Personally, I don't think Simone's actress would have been good for the Niki role.

I think they did well in casting, and still are as we are meeting new Heroes in each episode it seems. Thus far I wouldn't replace anybody.

I think the casting is spot on; they made good choices. I don't know if anyone out there has Season 1 of Lost on DVD but it's funny because in the special feature stuff they have all the actor's readings and I don't think anyone actually tried out for who they ended up being! It's really very interesting, the casting process, because there's so many talented actors and actresses out there to choose from but only one fits the part perfectly...

Ooh, I don't know how Tawny Cypress would have been as Niki. Niki isn't my favorite character by a long shot, but I think that Ali Larter does a good job.

And the whole auditioning for other roles thing isn't too uncommon - Harry Melling, who plays Dudley Durlsey in the "Harry Potter" films originally auditioned for Harry Potter himself... Now *that* might have been... interesting. lol.
