Have you also noticed that the only two you've decided have a sense of mission are also the "dreamers" of the series? Peter dreaming of something more, and Hiro, wanting to get out of the corporate doldrums.. They both have a sense of being something more, and thus, have more of a need to accomplish a mission set before them. Discover who and what they are, what they can do, and how that can help others like themselves..

This is one of the major hooks in the show that I'm liking.. You discover that you have an uncanny ability, and delve into this not only for yourself, but for others. Putting aside personal trials, and the constraints, you dive headfirst into the unknown, and delve into deeper mysteries and universes..

Deep considerations here

I feel that Peter, Hiro, and Claire are going to be the major focal points for a while, with Nathan playing a critical role in these last few episodes, as he's going to be a grounding point for his brother. After all, even dreamers need to walk in the waking world at some point!

Well said, and poetic. It's the dexcency of these two characters that keeps me interested. Peter and Hiro both have a purity that the other characters do not approach. Claire may get there but she is still a kid, still has some rather silly conflicts, as kids do have. It's a bit like the quest of the bodhi, to be ethical warriors in the world, with the purtiy of an angel, rising above the impulses of men. didn't think I'd go there with this entry, but there you are. I think these two both have a spiritual dimension, but I'm probably the only one thinking about the spirituality of Heroes.

I agree with you, I think that spirituality does, and will continue to play an integral, if not candid, role in the show. I believe that a spiritual side of Hiro may be exposed some time soon.

Peter and Hiro are driven with a missions, but so is Sylar. Of all the 'Heroes', Sylar is the one most consciously in control of his own power and destiny. A non-fatal run-in with him by Peter or Hiro may be helpful...

Let's pray Sylar never meets Hiro . . . Hiro's power would make Mr. Grey an even more dangerous person. Unless Hiro could shank him with his kick-a** sword!

"Fallout" showed Isaac and Mohinder also setting out on missions. Ironically, they too both "dream" lol.

Wait, wait, wait... Ok, is it just me, or are we picking up on a theme here? Mission=dream + power?

I'm not trying to negatively hit on this, but it seems like every time someone comes up with a solid thesis on where the show is going, or who is doing what, Mr. Kring comes up with something else so off the wall that we're thrown completely for a loop.

I personally think that if we're going to try to guess about what is going on here, we need to just analyze the basics that we _do_ know, and make some nice generalizations about the character, thus proving that whatever happens we can say "Yup! I guessed that!"..

On to something more on topic:

I don't think that Peter overloading is going to be the cause of this explosion in NYC, however, I do think that he is going to be making a integral influence in this occurrance, whether for good or bad.

Peter, as an empath, is going to be put into many different situations that are going to tax his newfound powers to the extreme. Humans are nothing if not a chaotic mess of emotion, stress, and disorder. There are a few that defy this generalization, but for the most part, we are really screwed up creatures!
Peter's biggest task is going to be how to learn to control this power, and use it constructively. Thus, my guess that somehow while learning this power, he's going to make a few mistakes along the way. After all, he's gifted with an ability, that doesn't make him any less human mistake-wise!

We do all appreciate that the writers of Heroes probably drop in on this site to see how we perceive things, don't we? They may be intersted in what we are interested in, as I think we could be defined as a avid fan base.

I don't think Mohinder has had any other significant dreams but the ones that were influenced by the boy back in India, who was like a dream spirit guide (or something).
