I think the worst thing to happen to this show would be to have fully self-contained episodes. I would hate it to be a "We have a problem... find the hero... hero saves the day... yay for the hero" sort of show. I love the character development and the mystery that we are experiencing right now. I know questions will be answered over time, but I like a show that continues to build over a season.

i hope the writers don't get impatient and try to speed the story up. Because once they do that, there's only so much that can happen before the show gets lame.

Part of what makes the show so special is that these people seem so real
like they could be actual folks confronted by the truelly unbeleivable,
that there are natural consecuences to having super powers.
Lives are being changed and forever altered by these revelations,
relationships are being changed and forever altered.
I would hate to see is these facinating developments abandoned
and see everyone aquire costumes and move into a super headquarters
somewhere in a New York highrise with a neato Super Logo that lights up at night.
I would hate to see them have a red phone in there Super Headquarters that lights up when it rings
with the voice of the Presedent of the United States on the other end saying
"Super Heroes, we need you now!"
And please don't give them any super pets like super dogs or super hamsters to help them battle the forces of evil.

It seems the trend is to be original. People don't want them to develop this great story into the same cliche Supergroup.

I don't think they will. THe characters are too diverse and each have thier own motivations. It doesn't look like they all meet up and become the Super New York Avenger Squad. If they meet up and team up not to die, I think they might, but only for self-survival. These characters are too morally ambiguous to stay a group of superheros saving humanity. Niki was initially portayed as good (for the most part) and DL bad, then they suddenly switched it. These characters are in shades of gray.

Personally I think the worst thing they could do is get a main villain or two who are pure evil. I'd like to think that the characters are more complex, like HRG.

The worst thing the plot could go is that Sylar is actually a time-travelling Peter Petrelli.

In the future, Peter Petrelli turns out to be the bad guy, steals Hiro and other heroes' powers and what not, and comes back to haunt his friends.... meeeh. If there were too much time-travelling this show would suck.

Maybe the worst thing would be if the heroes lost their human side or vulnerablilty.

The worst thing this show could do is use time travel as an explaination for everything. It would be like, "Isaac painted Hiro and Peter going through time, but it didn't happen because Hiro traveled back in time to when he traveled a month into the future where Claire told Peter to time travel to when Hiro was so that the event that Isaac depicted of Hiro and Peter time traveling never happened even though Hiro and Peter just went through time, you see?" Uh, no Confused

I think what makes this show unique from the "super hero" cliche is the fact that the characters are all relatable, in some way you can look at one or more characters and feel for them sort of like the whole "what would I do" thing. That said, any Ghosts, Aliens, Super villains and tights... Tights would be very bad! OH and nick names! that too would be bad.

I also hope they don't loose their momentum, the story right now is so good I hope they can beat it in future seasons. Its like you have the best burger in the world after that nothing will compare sort of thing.

Anywho... thats what I think
