Ok, the African Isaak (lol) shows Hiro this painting with 4 dudes: I count Arthur Petrelli, Knox, and Blue-Fire dude (w/e his name is, I forget) as ones i knew.... But who was the fourth? A bit grizzled looking, thin, with scraggly beard and moustache. WHO IS THE FOURTH GUY??? Enlighten us if you know, por favor. Is it someone who we've already met and i didnt recognize, or is it some as-yet-to-be-introduced baddie?
I asked the same question in the General Heroes Discussion thread.... It looks like a new guy b/c it didn't look like Sylar or Maury......
But also-- who were the two guys hugging? I thought it was Peter and Dad but as I looked at it again, the dude furthest away is wearing a yellow suit or shirt????

Wanted to edit my previous answer, but it wouldnt let me...
The two guys hugging are Hiro and Ando. Look back at the scene that Ando kills Hiro... what are they wearing? My theory: Either Ando doesnt kill Hiro and tehy never fight, or they do the fake death scene (like Hiro stabbing Ando with the sword)... regardless, they hug.
Here's another theory about the last guy and him being Danny Pine. He's the guy who Pinehearst got their name from....lol. Next though, I think his power is the body insertion power, which is where Future Peter got it from when he stashed his present self inside Jesse Murphy's body.....
Definitely Peter and Arthur hugging; this was an important event, as the uber-powerful Peter lost his powers, and Arthur gained all that he had. A very important, pivotal moment.
IDK, didn't look like Sylar was that 4th person to me, Popkorn. The dude had a 'stache and a much narrower face than Sylar. As for this Danny Pine, could be him...
Could be, Stone... but in the spoilers thread (I think), someone posted a link to a drawing of Sylar, and it looked an awful lot like the face in the painting...
Furthermore, didn't we see another painting last night of someone using two fingers to seemingly saw someone's head off? If so, that definitely screams Sylar...
The fourth guy could very well be Sylar but we've seen him drawn in a ton of pictures in the show and he just doesn't look the same. And considering Tim Sale is an uber-pimp, I don't imagine he'd compromise the integrity of his artwork to throw people off, and he's simply too good of an artist to 'make a mistake.'
As for the huggers----i'm still not convinced it was Peter and Dad simply b/c of what they were wearing. I mean look at any of the 'future paintings' then look at any of the scenes that those play out, is there ever a color discrepancy? Especially to the amount that peter was wearing black (or white, dont remember) but the picture had the guy furthest from the POV wearing yellow? Neither dad nor Peter were wearing yellow. I think there is still time. Shoot, maybe Danny Pine is a founder of Pinehearst and an old friend of Arthurs...... And Arthur meets up with him and goes to hug him? Just looking at the pics of the guy who plays Danny Pine leads me to believe he could play a guy eccentric enough to be in his 50's or 60's and still rock a bright yellow shirt.... Those are all theories that are reaching, but I'm standing by them G D it!

Tim Sale doesn't do ALL of the artwork on the show. And I guess the integrity has indeed been compromised, because the villain in the painting at the top right is in fact Sylar. This week's Behind The Eclipse confirms it:

“The main things that I was questioning after ‘Dying of the Light’ had to do with the painting that Usutu had shown Hiro and Ando at the end. First of all, I could recognize that in the top left corner was Arthur, Knox below him, and in the bottom right it looked like Flint, or maybe Maury. However, I have been unable to figure out who was the fourth villain. I could see Sylar a little bit, but Magnum P.I. a lot. So who is this fourth villain? Is it a new villain (possibly played by Tom Selleck) or is it someone we know?”
CZ: It does look a lot like Tom Selleck. But it is Sylar. The bit that looks like facial hair is actually just a shadow across his face.
Just rewatched it: could very well be Sylar. One of the mini-paintings the African showed Hiro shows the same guy from the painting of "the Four" cutting someone's lid off, a la Sylar. So if it ain't him, well, i'm confused too Popkorn, lol.

Lol, there's no longer a debate - the writers said it was Sylar in the painting! Lol...
/CRY. If this is the case, i guess Sylar's no longer singing his "Redemption Song". Here's a question to start the old brain churning though: Arthur takes powers; could he have a power that enables him to manipulate/control others? Maybe it takes touch?? So when he offered his hand to Sylar so that our favorite head cutter could "see" the history behind the decisions, maybe that wasn't all that happened? I know, I'm reaching, but hey, why not?
