About the eclipse though. The eclipse happened last season when peoples powers were already manifesting. The older generation already had the powers and had them for a while. Adam Monroe had his for 400 years. How is it that last years eclipse gives powers and this years revokes them. Last years eclipse came after the powers were shown (Claire, Sylar, Peter, etc.) And if eclipses' take abilities as well, why is it that after 400 years of looking the same, the second Arthur takes Adams ability he returns to dust? There's gotta be more to it than we know, considering it is Heroes, but I just don't understand.
I can definitely see the impending eclipse as a way Peter gets his power back and transfering them on-by-one to Sylar/Gabriel.

Peter is holding a gun in the spoiler pics for the next episode (with The Haitian standing next to him) most likely pointing it at Arthur. There'd be no need for the gun if Peter had his powers back...

Well, that isn't necessarily true...
Peter might need a gun if both Peter and Arthur have powers. Why? Well, the Haitian is there - and we still don't know if he can selectively cancel powers, or if he just has to nullify the area. If Peter wanted a guarantee that he would win, bringing the Haitian and a gun would give him a pretty good shot at taking down Arthur without either of them being able to use their powers. If he tried the powered route, all Arthur would have to do is touch him again and he'd be powerless yet again.
I'm starting to see why Sylar might be the 4th villain. He wants to be a good guy now, we see that in him, but where is his trust now? His mom got him to kill to gain more power, but Arthur taught him how to gain power deeper within his own ability. Peter is going to have to convince him now and I don't think that's gonna be easy. I want Gabriel to be a good guy, he realizes he's done terrible things having this ability and wants to make right, but now he is being led by Arthur, so ya never know. Plus it's even more likely that Gabriel is a villain with the show in mind. Peter and Gabriel can now both take anyones ability without killing or dragging it out of them, if they were on the same side, granted it wouldn't be a piece of cake, it wouldn't be as exciting.

Yes we do. The Haitian can most definitely selectively cancel powers. In "Five Years Gone," Future Haitian nullified Present Hiro's ability while still allowing Future Matt to read Hiro's mind during the interrogation scenes. The Haitian is indeed able to select whose powers he wants "on" and whose he wants "off" in any given situation.
In the picture of Peter holding a gun, I think Peter is most definitely powerless, which is why he's using the gun to protect himself.

weve discussed this alot before but im gonna stick to my gns on this one......we have seen HEAPS of times that the hatians power isntabsolute. he has difficulty in nulifying abilities that dont need concentration or hard thought to use. like invisibility, empathic mimicry......peter has his ability, flight(im gnna presume thats cause ofthe fight or flight thing) and there are prob more i just canna think of them lol

Ah, no prob, Master - you mentioned that the picture of
Peter holding the gun with The Haitian
would happen pre-eclipse, but I was just saying that it would have to happen post eclipse because the eclipse occurs while the brothers are in Haiti trying to find The Haitian.
I'm not convinced that Adam having his power taken was the cause of his turning to dust and dying. Who knows what all powers Arthur may have, and what sort of ancient hate he may've been harboring for Adam? Take the power to heal yourself, and eliminate an old enemy in the process w/ another power. NBD, just another day in the life of Arthur Petrelli.
Now as for Arthur's concern about this eclipse.... yeah, I agree that it makes no sense. I mean, what happened to the old guard in the last eclipse? Wouldn't they have dealt with a brief "power outage" during eclipses before? Why would this eclipse be so different from any other? What forces are at work? It's either HUGE loophole or something that has yet to be explained.

That's an interesting theory, Stone. Perhaps Arthur had Fusor's dehydration ability (from the GNs), which could surely turn Adam into dust.
But I'm almost postive that the writers addressed this in a Behind The Eclipse. They said that Adam turned to dust because he was 400 years old. I know it technically doesn't make sense, but whatever the writers say goes, lol.
To me this makes no sense in relation to his power.... that power just keeps the wielder in perfect health, stopping time and leaving them as they were when it manifested. I don't see how this would cause him to die... he would've just been another guy, who would begin from that point to age normally.
