Symbol that appears throughout the show (the one that looks like an s or f)

The symbol is (I believe) supposed to represent part of a DNA strand, possibly the part that represents how these people vary from the norm.

On a chain around (Voodoo/Mystery Man's Neck)
As a tattoo on Niki's right shoulderblade
On the hilt of future Hiro's Kantana
In the swimming pool of the girl's house.
In the pictures on the map at Sylar's house.
In Dr. Chandra's code.
On a painting Isaac made in SECOND episode (Note: This is the 5 weeks in future Isaac's loft)
On a painting Isaac is rubbing on in the Future Episodes Teaser.
