|
|
Okay, so one thing I've noticed is in regards to the sliced open heads/missing brains we have seen. From the looks of it, we can see that the brains are missing and that the heads are close to perfectly sliced. Logically speaking, if someone were to slice a head straight through, it would also cut through the brain. Now as most of us have hypothesized, Sylar (or whoever) wanted the brains for a specific purpose, either to study them, or to absorb them. If a sword or any object in general cut through the head, then the brain would be sliced as well, and wouldn't that make it useless since the brain itself would have been destroyed?
I guess what I am questioning here is the exact method of how the heads were cut open, as well as whether or not the brain needs to be in tact in order for it to function properly/studied/be absorbed. If it needs to be in tact, then does Sylar, or whoever, possess some kind of ability to shoot lasers or beams that can cut through tissue that smoothly (like Cyclops or Bishop or someone like that?) Any thoughts? |

We saw Sylar make FBI girl (someone gimmie a name damnit!) make her point her gun at her head, and he did the thing with the knieves and the woman and the hanging and the yeah, and he froze that girl's dad, so maybe the ice has something to do with it. Then again, when Hiro went to the future and saw Issac dead, I don't think he was frozen. In fact, there was a gun on the floor, so it doesn't all add up.
In regards to the slicing slicing the brains, he could just be cutting into the skull all the way around. Or he doesn't need the whole brain. The top half of the brain deals with memory, I believe, so that's probably not nessisary. I'm bettin he needs the DNA and the brains thing is just him bein twisted. |

The FBI agent's name is Audrey Hanson, but I still call her FBI agent.
I've also been wondering his means and motive for stealing brains. The two possibilities are that he is using his powers, laser-beams able to slice so thin or whatever, or tools such as a really really sharp precise cutting utensil. The second doesn't seem as cool. I think its a power of some sort, or at least some combination there in. I really have no idea on this one. |

I hate to admit this...but I have a feeling this act of freezing/removing the brains...will end up being something so simple and obvious.
Like, I will want to remove my own brain, because of it's uselessness and lack of figuring out such a simpleton notion. HA--- Just a feeling. |

Something I was thinking that I found to be a nice little coincidence, and yeah, it might just be that, but it's controversial... so I like to think there's a chance :p
Assuming he IS after their brains for whatever reason, those cuts have 2 things to be noticed. They're EXTREMELY clean-cut, which is hard to do on bone since most blades won't cut very well through it. Not to mention having a perfectly level cut the entire way around the skull. That leads me to believe the blade used was rather long.
Secondly, the cuts are fairly deep into the skull's length. If you rewatch the clip of Isaac's head, or the other victim that had his scalp removed, those cuts are a good 2-3 inches from the top of the skull. They're both right above the eyebrows. If you want an intact brain, you're either going to have to be VERY good with a blade (like a sushi chef perhaps? *cough*) or you'd have to be a doctor. Since there are no doctors on the show, as of yet, I'd lean towards the first option.
So who do we know that might know how to do the precision cutting needed to cut sushi, and will eventually own quite a long blade that might have the capability to cut through bone quickly, and cleanly enough to be perfectly level? While motive's up for grabs, there's only one person I can think of right now. And what better way to escape the FBI than to warp two weeks into the future? |

| So because he's japanese, he's good with a sushi knife? Hahaha. I don't doubt he has the capability, but there'd have to be a major twist to change his moral stance on such a fundamental level as mass murder. |

| Well, I did say "might" be good at cutting sushi :p As far as that's concerned, the speed he'd swing the katana at, it wouldn't matter much anyway. |

| It is possible that removing the brain entirely is the only way to kill with certainty someone with powers. If all of the Heroes have the possiblility of having all of the powers, then naturally Claire's regenerative power makes it difficult to kill somebody. Suppose that to this point the Heroes have only discovered the strongest aspect of their power. Sylar appears to be more advanced in his control and understanding of his power and he appears to have multiple powers. He may have realized that severing the brain is the only way to eliminate the regenaration, after all Claire could not regen, while that object was still stuck in her skull. Sylar might not be using the brains for anything, simply removing them to ensure that the victim cannot regenerate. |

| I've Wondered also if the Future Hiro was the one slicing heads open to what end? What Motive? Time will tell. |

Highly unlikely since the one that saw isacc couldnt even handle seeing that. I would think a huge sword would make a different cut since I own and use a sword. It would never be that precise to make a perfect slice like that. |

| I doubt it's Future Hiro since he seemed real reluctent to come back in time, being afraid of causing a rift and all. |

| I disagree, I think the material of the brain is important, so cutting it is not a big deal...I mean if hes chewing it..... |
