This is the same line of thought that I had regarding this. I think the picture may have thrown observers off with a fetus Mohinder and toddler Chanti.

I was expecting that too, but not to the point that I was excited about it. She wasn't cured yet, after all.

The canadian preview shows her saying "Are you sure you want to know?" so, maybe a little before the season finale. Probably towards the end of 22.

After reviewing the show, nowhere did it say he was born after she died. Mohinder did say that he was born too late to help, but that might just mean they couldn't take his antibodies until he was 3 or something...

Or he was born after she had reached that 'point of no return'. The virus might have gotten to a stage where it was no longer cureable... After all, the sooner you find a Cancer, the better your chances of survival...
