| This is not a description of major depressive disorder. This description matches closest to bipolar disorder - large mood swings from mania to depression. The "delusions of grandeur" are associated with mania, not depression...Bipolar disorder is classified as a mood disorder, along with several varieties of depression, so maybe some people could interpret an overlap. |
Seems to me that the mother may have been right. According to her, the father had delusions of granduer and then went depressed and committed suicide, then he had (according to your research) bipolar disorder. Just becasue the mother didnt recognize the actual disease but listed the symptoms doesnt make her wrong. You say that Bipolar = Mania + Depression and that Grandeur is a type of Mania. So in this case Bipolar = Delusions of Grandeur + Depression! |

In the last panel of Online Graphic Novel 009 the authors may have given us a clue about where Eden lived. A road sign indicates the mileage from that point to some major cities: Salt Lake City is 125 miles away and Las Vegas is 240 miles away.
I figured this might be a hint to the location of Eden's hometown. So I did some digging and found that Interstate 15 links Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.
There's a major problem: these kinds of road signs usually mean "If you stay on Interstate 15, you'll get to Salt Lake City in 125 miles and Las Vegas in 240 miles." But that sign would mean that Vegas and SLC are only (240-125)=115 miles apart. They're not. They're about 410 miles apart.
Perhaps the sign is not on Interstate 15 (which might make sense since Eden was hitchhiking). Perhaps it means "If you get on Interstate 15, go south 240 miles to get to Las Vegas, or go north 125 miles to get to Salt Lake City." Except that can't happen either, since (240+125)=365, which is much shorter than 410 miles.
Scipio, Utah is about 125 miles from Salt Lake City. Cove Fort, Utah is about 240 miles from Las Vegas. Both locations are about 55 miles apart from each other. But it would appear the sign is not correct.
It is probably safe to say the writers intended to express that Eden McCain is a Utahn, but getting more specific than that is not possible due to the incorrect mileage on the sign.
Perhaps they also intended to express that Eden's destination was Las Vegas, but she asked the driver to go "west." Interstate 15 (and pretty much all 1- and 2-digit odd-numbered Interstate routes) is a north/south route. (But maybe since her life passed by so quickly washing dishes for her stepmother, she had no sense of direction.) |
Well, the sign may reference lengthy off-ramps or diagonal side-roads. Remember, the hypotenuse of a triangle is always longer than both the legs. However, as it is also always shorter than the sum of the legs, I'd say we're dealing with a trapezoidal formation of roads.

Toward the end of Episode 7 when Nathan is describing his abduction and escape to Peter, Peter asks who abducted him. Nathan responds that it was a man with horn-rimmed glasses and he was accompanied by some "Euro dude." (Or maybe it was Euro guy).
Does anyone else hear this? Should he have said something like "Haitian dude" instead? |
Yup. Nathan said Euro dude. Got me confused to the point where I wondered if DL was the Haitian dude - his non-appearance in the episodes where DL re-enters Niki's life seemed to back it up - until I compared scenes and found that they don't look alike at all.
I've still got all my episodes in my DVD Recorder.
BTW - How would someone know that the guy is from Haiti? It's not like he wore a sign announcing his birthplace. |
He could be basing his assumption off of the Haitian's clothing and backpack (was he wearing the backpack in this scene, I forget). A bigger question may be how everyone else knows right off-the-bat that he is Haitian!

In episode 5, "Hiros" there is a sequence in the subway train where Mohinder narrates and the camera pans about the subway passengers while time is frozen. If you look closely you will see that Future Hiro is one of those passengers, standing still and holding a newspaper. A few moments later he walks into view of the camera - having him stand there frozen was probably the only way to get him into the scene without breaking continuity of the shot.
 |
Also, it has been speculated by most (and even implied by the number of articles and press releases that list Hiro among the supers Peter has mimicked) that it was in fact Peter that stopped time after Future Hiro jumped in, and not FH. In which case, we would be able to see FH in a pan around the train car before he actually introduced himself to Peter.

When FH(future hiro) met peter he said " you look different without the scar"and EVERYONE thinks he got the scar from episode 9 homecoming but, future tense, how could he get the scar if he had never been told to save the cheereleader and go to Texas.
Another thing, very important ESPECIALLY important is,ORDER, in the next episode he see's issac and the painting before the locker door scene is missing, and the picture later to be found is him when he's lying on the floor "dead" but if i recall, he threw the locker doors BEFORE he fell on the floor.Either they ordered it wrong, or they will repeat the locker scene!!! |
No, Future Peter would have gotten the scar in some other situation and not been able to heal since Clair would not be around, either because she was already dead or simply because he would not have met her without FH's intervention with Present Peter. As for the panel, the "Locker Doors" scene isn't the missing one, it is the "Peter Dead" scene. And as Isaac never remembers what he sees in his trances, henceforth, neither can Peter when mimicking him, so they would not know the proper order of the painings before the events actually occurred. I did some playing around in MS Paint and re-ordered the panes properly, and will upload the correct version of the comic panel later today.

| Sorry if it's off-topic, but thanks for the other dialogue expamples, I knew there were some but couldn't remember them. Is there a general continuity thread or is it done on a per-episode basis? |
Two others are: Charlie and the diner patrons saying different things, making differnt gestures, and standing in different positions at the end of "Seven Minutes to Midnight" and the beginning of the repeated scene in "Six Months Ago;" and D.L. wearing a hat at the end of "Homecoming" before he is shot and not wearing one at the beginning of the repeated scene in "Fallout."

When Pete and Sylar take the swan dive, why was Pete swimming in a pool of his own blood. He had physical contact with Sylar, so he should have been protected by whichever power allowed Sylar to limp away.
Sylar can fly, why did he fall with Pete? |
Sylar landed on top of Peter, so that broke his fall quite a bit. Also, he more than likely used TK to slow himself down at the very last second, not giving Peter evough time to mimic him. |

| I've been rewatching some episodes again (some for the 3rd time) to catch things I didnt catch before. But I still dont understand some of the timeline. In the first couple episodes there are references of Homecoming being 3 weeks away, Nathan has 8 days to make up 10 points (or 10 days for 8 points, I dont remember). But we've had Homecoming, why havent we had the election. The only reference to the election was when Hiro was 5 weeks in the future. |

Can I object? I dont think of this as "nitpicking". Its whats commonly known as continuity errors or movie mistakes (but this is TV). Granted people DO nitpick with comic book movies. They'd post in to movie mistake sites saying this is wrong because in the comic book THIS person did this, not this other person as the movie says, or this persons costume should be blah blah blah like the comic is.
I know its moved & its not going back. I'm just explaining why I didnt put it here in the first place. |

The "10 days to make up 8 points" was more than likely so his party wouldn't drop his as their candidate because he was so far behind. Maybe it was10 days till a primary or something. But he never said that it was 10 days to the election...the election was clearly established by the 2nd episode to be on Nov. 7th (in order for the results to be published in the Nov. 8th paper). |

...Yes, the hypotenuse of a triangle is longer than both legs, but the points of the triangle are defined by the comic.
Can you find a point on a U.S. map that is 125 miles from Salt Lake City and also 240 miles from Las Vegas? If you drew a circle around both cities with the radii specified, the circles would not intersect... |

Out of boredom and longing for the new episodes, I've started rewatching the series from Ep 1.
I'll note inconsistencies I see along the way:
* Episode 3 - Claire and Brody are chatting by the bonfire. He asks if she just found out she was adopted and she said "No, no, they told me when I was really little." This isn't true, as it was just 3 years ago she found out as we saw in Company Man.
* Episode 3 - We see Sylar has a map with all sorts of names of Heroes. In one of the graphic novels...can't remember which one, shortly before showing up at Zane Taylor's house, he notes that he's ran out of names from the original list...but that's not true as Nathan was on there and he's still got his head fully functional. |

HOLY CONTINUITY ERROR!!!!!!
| HeroesWiki.com/Shanti_Suresh wrote: |
Seven Minutes to Midnight
In Madras, India after scattering his father's ashes, Mohinder has an unusual dream in which his mother and father discuss his father's plan to move to New York City to pursue his research. Chandra thinks he should stay in India for Mohinder's sake, but his wife persuades him to go, telling him Mohinder will never take "her" place in his eyes.
When Mohinder confronts his mother about the dream, she admits the conversation did take place. He presses her about what she meant about him not taking "her" place in his father's eyes, and she admits that she was referring to Mohinder's older sister, Shanti, who died when she was five years old and Mohinder was two.
His mother tells him that they concealed his sister from him because his father loved her so much, claiming she was "special", that they were afraid Mohinder would compare himself unfavorably to her. |
In Ep. 21, they say that Shanti died a few months before Mohinder was born!
Is this a real continuity error or has Hiro seriously messed something up with his jumping back and forth? I mean, I don't see just how that's possible... but I'd rather hear that than find out that the writers screwed up and got called out on it |

| I'll have to rewatch the episode to verify, but I think they might have said that Chandra found the cure 2 months after Shanti died...not that Mohinder was born at that time... |
