So I'll try again....
Out there theory for all you...or is it
The person who attacked, and possibly killed kaito is...
Someone he obviously did not expect,
Has the ability to disappear.
and is no doubt supposed to make us go NO WAY
So I theorize it is
Hiro. Keep in mind, this could be a future hiro/ alternate Hiro.The size is right. He is wearing a hoodie, ya, but his style of dress is young, I doubt it is someone Angela and Kaito's age. Future hiro, according to the graphic novels and episode from the future, states that he has officiated terrorist acts, so wetwork doesnt seem to be a problem. Hiro is obviously going to become takezo Kenzei, so using the half-helix that takezo uses would be an obvious calling card for him. Maybe he found out that his father was part of the group that destroyed New York in his timeline. Also, hiro could teleport away after giving daddy the shove. Also, it would explain kaito saying "you are the last person I would have expected"
I dunno about Hiro. I mean, he'd have to get pretty pissed at his dad to kill him. Plus, I was thinking, Claude has the ability to disappear, and he was most likely one of the original group of specials
And as it's been known, both Kaito and Angela were in cohortz with the company, the same company that ordered HRG to kill him, thus giving Claude motive.
Obvious (to me) answer is that it is Kenzai -- who has some sort of immortality power. He also has smallish body time, just like the koller. Also, given past history in Japan that obviously is important to Kaito (through the stories to Hiro as a child, and as will be developed this season), it is evident why Kaito is both surprised and shocked by his killer-to-be.
As a supporting point for this theory, note the early spoilers about a character named Kane, a European womanizer with a "timeless" air about him -- no doubt Kenzai in the past will develop over the centuries into Kane in the present. Given immortality, Kenzai/Kane easily could and did kill Kaito by dragging him off the roof and then walking away.
Final point - I don't believe Kenzai/Kane is WTTB. That type of mental power that Molly is experiencing is a whole other power from what I'm expecting to see from Kane/Kenzai. Rob

I like this idea. From the previews we see that he does have a power. He does seem surprised about it though. But I suppose if he doesn't age he may, in the 1600's, already be very old and bored. He may see Hiro as a way to get to the future, where things are more interesting, much faster than waiting around a few hundred years. So he's playing up the lazy, immoral, clueless drunk angle to fool Hiro into underestimating him.

It's very interesting, I'll give you that. But if it was him, why would Kaito have to speak to him in English? If he knows it's his own son, why not speak in their native language? We know Future Hiro still knows Japanese, he spent half of his conversations with Present Hiro/Ando in FYG speaking in Japanese.
Now, I'm not saying I agree with this. But I did post on here right after comic-con that my dad was at the entire panel interview filimg it. I might have to go find this link if you guys don't believe me, hopefully some of you remember, either way, My dad went on this whole schpiel about how some spiky haired asian dude who could travel through time was saying how there was a dark version of himself and that they are working against each other through time. I thought my dad was full of it, he doesn't even watch the show, but now that some of you are theorizing this on your own, without having seen my post, i'm starting this may really be a possibility. Oh and I made sure I showed him a pic of Hiro to make sure that he was the spiky haired asian guy he was talking about. I'll wait a little bit to see if someone remembers and if not I'll find the link to the post cuz it explains a lil moreQ
I don't buy that this was hiro at all...I just don't see it as likely for the character they're writing him as...The helix symbol is the key here. Whoever killed him had a connection with both him & Angela in the past. I think if this was Sylar, he would have cut open his head intead of throwing him off a building. Seeing as how I've always thougt Angela's & Sulu's powers had somthing to do with Manipulation/Mind Control...Maybe they are being targeted for control of the "Company" or just for revenge.
Claude seems the most likely answer to me.
Although I'd like it to be Hiro's Sister. She's hot.

um.....can i ask a question? why do MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY (not just a few) of you think claude killed kaito? im assuming the ability to become invisible allows you to safely jump off a building? i know someone said something like "he used invisiblity" or something ...fair enough...but come ON!

Well, when you consider that Costa Verde is on the West Coast (literally) of California, and NYC is sitting on the Atlantic, travel to and from those two cities is going to be quite interesting.
Unless you're Hiro, and able to teleport and bend time and space, you're not going to be at both places at one time..
