Yep the spoiler came out about 2 weeks ago I think, and I don't really think it was odd he was comfortable with his powers, or that he knew about them. If at any point Sylar's intuitive aptitude kicked in, he would know how to do any and everything he ever absorbed, without having to feel the emotions or remembering, they're just there. He would see how it all worked instantly.
true, i forgot about how fast sylar learns to use his powers. i know that intuitive aptitude has been thrown around with sylar and how he knows how to fix things but has that actually been officially established? they need to explain his power finally as well and i hope he has a grand entrance next week.
btw, nebody else happy that peter is no longer a pansy?
I'm not happy He wasn't a pansy before, he was just sensitive, naive and afraid. Which made him all the more brave for the things he did in Season one - like choosing to save Claire when he knew he would die. I miss the old Peter, I hope he's in there somewhere!
I'm not entirely sure that Peter's entirely clueless as to what's happening. During the interrogation... let's just say Milo did a very good job at keeping me guessing. One moment he seemed generally distressed, as if he was really racking his brains for anything he could offer the Irishmen to make them stop. But then, for brief flashes, he seemed almost as though he was just being stubborn - not sincere. Maybe he's just fed up.
If he really has lost all his memory, maybe it is like a release. We established in S1 that he was so overly caring - so wrapped up in worrying about other people - that it was often a hindrance. I already mentioned that despite seeming a 'pansy' in S1, he was infact very brave. Maybe with no memory and no one to love or worry about, all you're left with is brave - and stubborn!
Actually, I've just cheered myself up I think when our empath starts finding/remembering people to care for and protect, we'll see the old confused, insecure - yet faithful - Peter again.
Remember at the police station when Claire asked him if he knew he'd survive and heal? And he gave her that goofy smile and said "No - pretty stupid, huh?". That's the Peter I miss!
So... the Haitian wasn't wearing his necklace tonight...
I noticed that too. I'm starting to wonder if somehow the necklace is what is inhibiting Peter's memory. And if it were removed that he would gain rapid clarity. It seems odd that they would leave it on him through the whole torture thing.
I noticed that the Haitian said he was dying because he abused his powers. He might mean "abused" in a general way, but I think he did something specific - like erasing Peter - that made his conscience bother him.
Apparently Peter got close enough to DL to pick up his power - and that wasn't all that close. He must have Sylar's intuitive aptitude.

I like your idea, Pay. But in this week's Behind the Eclipse, the writers said to not assume anything in regard to that, so I don't know what's going on.
Given that intuitive aptitude is Sylar's original power, and Peter has encountered Sylar 3 separate times (not counting FYG), I'd have to say you're right. He definitely has it.
Yeah, Sylar's power should come in handy when they plan this "heist" that Peter's being forced in on. Can you say Perfect Crime? Of course, I'd rather see him have a showdown with the cops . . .
I don't know about the mind-wipe thing on Peter . . . Why go to all that trouble and leave him a box full of clues as to his past and identity? I think he just blew up; yeah, the power that cause him to blow up (Ted's? An overload from being around that many "specials" at once?) might not be able to physically damage it's wielder, but that doesn't mean it didn't rattle his frickin brain so hard he got amnesia. Remember that he's still human; we've already seen that just because these people have abilities doesn't mean they can't die. Why would a little psychological damage be out of the question?
I apologize in advance if this is has been posted by someone previously, but I didn't go back and read the previous pages.
1. I am pretty sure the Hatian mind-wiped Peter and that is why Peter is wearing the Hatian's necklace. I don't think the necklace is what is impairing his memory, I think his memory is genuinely gone.
2. Re: DL's ability now in Peter. We don't know what has happened over the last four months, nor do we know where DL is. It is quite possible Peter absorbed DL's ability sometime within the last four months. We already know he has come into contact with at least one other person with abilities that we have yet to meet, so it is highly likely that he met DL after he exploded but before he was found in the shipping crate.
3. I think the mind-wipe is really going to help Peter in the long run with controlling his abilities. As Claude said in season 1, Peter's concern for those around him impair his use of his abilities. With a clean slate, I imagine he will be great at using them. As he comes back in contact with his family/friends, he may become the Peter of old, but he will have already mastered his ability (as well as those he has absorbed) and will be much better at what he does.
4. I like the idea of Sylar's intuitive aptitude and I do think that it helps explain how Peter can use his abilities without knowing he has them. That said, we also have to remember that nearly each person who has developed abilities has done so under great distress and their powers have always helped them out (i.e. DL phasing out of his cuffs/prison without knowing he could do it). It is possible that Peter is now doing the same thing, he just has a larger catalog from which to choose.

I'll speculate and say he absorbed the ability to phase in the time period when he started going nuclear in Kirby Plaza. He was overloading on abilities from everyone around him. Also I wonder if he picked up multiple abilities from Sylar as well. (memory, hearing, freeze, super speed. etc)
DL probaly died very shortly thereafter that scene.

He damages people's brains while altering them (ala Mrs Bennet), maybe he damages his own brain as well. But he is also very religious... Remember what he said to Claire, something along the lines of the power being God, and insulting God by insulting her power... <.< Maybe he thinks he blasphemed by abusing his power and is being punished.

Ooh! What's that? It a behind the scenes show? Or a newsletter?
I'd have to go with Peter's abilities surfacing thanks to his mindwipe, and intuitive aptitude.
However, there are two key factors that are going to be coming into play with this scenario:
1. Peter doesn't know what abilities he has. He's going to be tripping over quite a few different ones that he's got in store, and might end up using an ability that could be detrimental to his cause, rather than helping it.
2. Once he's able to access and use these abilities, he's going to be able to remember how to recall them, thanks to the eiditic memory a-la Sylar absorb as well.
Just because Peter got the intuitive aptitude and TK doesn't also mean that he's not gotten Sylar's other abilities. Some will be harder than others to find and control, but eventually Peter's going to become a walking Juggernaut, and I really can't wait to see that kind of episode.
I loved the badass way Peter and Hiro took on Homeland Security in 5YG, and I can't wait for some kind of showdown to be seen this season as well.
Gotta re-watch 5YG now, just to get my "abilities" fix!
Just coming in to clarify! YES! Peter has all of Sylar powers. All of the ones we have seen him use so far, and any ones we haven't. This is waaaaaaaaaaaaay old news. I think I must have typed the next line a million times in the past couple months. There was an interview with all the writers and the creators in which it was stated that Peter has all of Sylar's powers and NOT just TK.
