I really believe strongly that The Haitian has to be the 3rd part of the "Super Trinity" at the core of all stories of this ilk. One Good, one bad, one darkly mysterious (Pete, Sylar, Haitian). With Peter and now a loose, motivated and clearly in touch Sylar turning into supermen, this guy is THE pivotal part in the series to keep it from becoming "The Peter & Sylar Chronicals".

Great thought, Maxx!

Expanding upon that:

Peter is the good side
Sylar is the bad side
...and perhaps The Haitian is the BALANCE in the middle. I don't know why, but I could just see the irony in that scenario, seeing that The Haitian can nullify abilities. The balance between two polar opposites (Peter and Sylar) would be equilibrium, and in a power-related universe, I'd say that equilibrium would be someone right in the middle - meaning someone with no powers (and The Haitian can provide just that effect with his ability). *cough* Balance *ahem* Charles Deveaux *cough* Yin Yang Theory Wink

I definitely think they're going to revisit the issue of balance in a later season. They made such a big point of incorporating it into Charles Deveaux speech during the finale, and it's bound to show up sometime.
