AHHHHHH!!! I figured it out!! This is why Ando goes back to Japan and when the officers call, he says they have been looking for Hiro for weeks. Well, just a theory, but everything in this show tends to happen no matter what they do.
These are along the same thoughts of mine. I figure, the "chubby" waitress told Ando that Hiro had left Charlie's life a couple weeks ago. I would figure he went back to Japan at that time. Which is where the rest of the storyline then continues.
Then the storyline stays on course. At the point that Hiro goes back in time, current Hiro simply returns to the current story line at an unknown time after Peter leaves the Diner.
Just a rough guestimate. I read some link, and apparently in "6 months ago" we should learn how exactly Hiro's timeline works.
Are any of you familiar with the Trunks time traveling rule of Dragon Ball Z? It says that going back in time will only create a new time line. I say if the author of Hiro's blog knows this, then they should use this to make Heroes more interesting. So, accoding to this rule, the birthday pix would have stayed the same and no one would have been familiar with Hiro because when he went back in time, he created a new time line.
Oh well. I think we're all smart enough to get that if they use that line. Changing the pix and having that other waitress know about Hiro is fun in a way but then again, I feel it dumbs down the viewers.
Once again, I'm very curious as to what new or old time traveling rule Kring is going to use.

Very true except trunks was from an alternate dimension from what he figured out in the comic version and that is why the androids were far more greater in theirs than his time frame. But the time line thought can be correct though yet similar to that of the DBZ trunks thing.

I like your theory. Everything that we saw early on still must happen. C_Hiro becoming P_Hiro is all part of what has already happened. He still has to go to America to meet Charlie in the first d***ed place or he can NEVER met her.

weeks from the first time he teleported in the subway.. Ando said he hadn't see him in 5 weeks. which indicates Ando didn't go back to japan after Hiro left him at the diner. because there is technically two weeks left to the bomb after homecoming.
Why are you all including future Ando? He is of no consiquence anymore. According to witchblade, psychic are mearly tv receptors that tune into diffrent demention channels. And from Back To The Future, the futre really isn't set. If it was, what's the point in trying to change the futre? Hiro already said that future Ando is not nessesary becuase the time line has already been changed. What needs to be put under the microscope is Hiro going to the past. I'd like to slice off and eat Kring's brains and see what's going on in it...
anywho....According to Cable from X-men, there are various dementions. You have to time travel back to the right one or end up like Trunks. Savage from Justice League said that he didn't have the ''right kind'' of time machine also. I still say Hiro going back in time to save Chatrlie should be more like Trunks. He saves her in her time line but not his. But I'm sure, Kring will just say that hiro realizes and decides to let her SHINAE (die) ????

Well, it seems we have experienced the full first rift from Future Hiro's intervention. Isaacs paintings of the future are now wrong. Other than knowing of Peter saving Claire, the other rift is actually Present Hiro. There is one painting of Hiro and Ando under a bloody Homecomming sign. Episode 9, being the Homecomming episode, Ando and Hiro never even make it to the school. So, we have no idea how this will affect Hiro's development as a "Hero" (no pun intended).
If Hiro would have been there, as Future Hiro probably was since he is from an unaltered time line, he would have experienced the loss of not saving someone again as many time before. Now, it seems the possibility of Future Hiro changing is evident due to his now lack of the third event of loss, first and second being the poker game and the waitress.
Or perhaps the waitress replaced the second loss that was supposed to be Claire. Now knowing all of this, Future Hiro is apt to change.
How come everyone thinks that Eden and the Haitian guy are still with HRG? Wouldn't it make more sense that they were on their own, behind his back?

Well funny u say that... if you check Hiero's blog.. as of yesterday its totally missing...
Making more timelines would be confusing and then ofcourse what happens when the times merge? That sounds like some riff action to me... where ever hiero is in the past he is simply missing from the present. He travled 5 weeks into the future and saw issacs death so i'm sure we can assume Sylar escaped from HRG and company, also that would mean the comic book will have changed but we havent seen that. Time travel is risky business...

at that time Ando had never left japan... when Hiero returned it had been... what 2 days or so he was missing ... Now Ando is in texas so that phone call won't happen because he is with him.
Ando won't leave without Hiero, so he's stuck in texas. They are using Issacs comic as a guide so i think Hiero will whip it out and see there is nothing he can do to save Charlie and will come back to Ando and they will go on to the school...
I really hope to god there is only one timeline... multiple timelines will make this show jump the shark...

But it was before they started trying to save the world.
I think if Peter didn't save Claire, Sylar wouldn't be injured and Eden wouldn't be able to get him. So maybe also Isaac is safe now.

true but...
Hiero and Ando are using the comic as a guide so they are doing what is done in the comics as Hiero pointed out to Ando when he got back by showing him the page where they were argueing. i don't think they were ment to save clare...just be there after the fact. if you notice the blood they were too late anyways...oh hell... what if the were supposed to save the other cheerleader?!?! Hiero is off trying to get his grove on with charlie and totally blew it? wow... now thats something to think about

i'm not sure what that quote you used had anything to do with eden/voodoo man or what this has to do with the hiro time rift, but to answer your question: HRG told eden to go down to the school to take care of sylar.
and i agree with hiro and ando arriving late. they're probably disappointed because they hear a cheerleader died and they think that they failed their mission.
