I absolutely LOVE the heroes, but I am slightly frustrated with the abstractness enshrouding "the company." Maybe I am just not quick enough to pick it up from the subtleties, but I am unsure exactly what the company does. Angela Petrili always tells everyone to have respect for them because they were trying to save the world, but then Lindermen was a criminal and Hiro's dad says they are being punished for the bad things they did. Also the Haitian when he was sick commented he was being punished for using his powers for ill. So I can conclude the company was not very noble and leans more towards "evil" than "good." But what is it exactly that they do. It seems like every episode the company is this luminous idea that surrounds the show in obscurity.

I know they "abduct" special people, but what do they do with them. I have also deducted that they rid those that they feel are a danger to earth, but how; do they kill them off or something? And it also seems like they make their power stronger, but how and why? Matt Parkman seems to think they gave him his power, but we know that is not true. But it did seem to get stronger, and HRG alludes that Elle's gift was also made stronger.

Anyway, can anyone shed more light on The Company then I have been able to deduce on my own.

I feel like make it was started to determine the "bad" special people and the "good" special people, and rid the earth of the bad ones, and help the good ones control their power. But I am not sure it that is what it has continued to do. I don't trust or like Bob at all. So something must be up!

They're not making powers stronger, they just have the benefit of experience and knowing that these powers can be stronger. And if the company was started by Adam Monroe's then flunkies, u know it wasn't begun with golden intentions. Maybe there WAS a little "culling of competition" in their bagging and tagging; i'd bet on it, in fact.

OF COURSE SOMETHING IS UP!!! That's been evident from the beginning of the show. It's going to be interesting now, though, to see whether Bob really is head honcho, or if he's just carrying out orders handed down by the recently identified Mrs. Pratt.

They test the limits of powers, even if this is dangerous to the evolved humans they're testing. They record everything, and then wipe their memories.

They don't make the powers stronger, but Matt thought they gave him his powers because they abducted him as soon as he started to exhibit signs of having powers. That's why HRG didn't want the Company to find out that Claire had powers, because they would have abducted her and experimented on her, perhaps scarring her for life, mentally if not physically.

there's no knowing what the company actually does and who really runs it. We'll find more out in season 3

I gonna go with sikorsky. they take em in, experiment, keep certain ones, let others go and wipe there memories. but the one i dont get is Wes. they gave him his markings or whatever, didnt say whether he was flying or not b4 it, and didnt wipe his memories. what exactly did they do to him?

Maybe Wes was marked based on testing (a la Papa Suresh's/Victoria Pratt's work?) for possible "reharvesting" later when he manifested, if the manifested ability was useful to them. I doubt Elle is even Bob's real daughter; it's just a twisted version of what Noah has with Claire.
