An amendment to my previous post. Rather than Candace making Ted crazy, she could simply appear as his wife and tell him she wants him to so he can be with her.
I know the writers and NBC are notorious for trying to throw us off with the trailers, but from the trailer, it looks as though both sylar and peter are watching the bomb
Well, as of last night, we sort of see part of one of Peter's dreams coming true: his hands start glowing as he absorbs Ted's power. Sylar is now crazier than ever: I think his act of matricide will probably push the last vestiges of rational thought from his twisted brain. Ted has gained a remarkable ability of control over his power, but we know that should he be shot/injured he loses control.
Peter is convinced that he is the bomb. Sylar is convinced that he is the bomb. Ted really is just a clueless joker. I think I'll take the ride with those who have said that Candice will adversely manipulate Ted somehow; his emotions are closely tied to his power, and who knows what seeing his wife alive would do to him. I'm gonna have to say that Ted will be the bomb. Not for any particular reason, just that I don't want Peter or Sylar to die . . . .
Both of the shots with Peter/Sylar watching the explosion are night time shots. Every iteration of the explosion we've seen so far happens in broad daylight. Those aren't it, imo.
Ted explodes, yeah.... but it's going to be a smallscale explosion. There's a reason There's red/blue flashing lights on one side of the fence, with Peter on the other. Ted's going to be the one that Popkorn's friend said gets arrested by the FBI. He may even get shot in the process, which is what leads Peter to say "He's going to take out the whole city".
I think that Sylar will be the bomb, and he will die in the explosion because he doesn't have Claire's healing powers. Then next season would be dealing with taking down Mr. Linderman and the Company. but the name Heros: Generations makes me feel like it might be in the past, maybe to explain more on Shanti/'Molly's virus and the origin of the powers maybe even a little back story on Mr Linderman and his little "Justice League"
Sounds like a decent premise. Only problem I have with it is more of the whole "Let's rip off of X-men" thing.
Five Years Gone = Days of Future Past
Molly's Virus = The Legacy Virus.
Seriously. Hollywood HAS lost all originality. I'm sure it'll be better than whatever Fox could come up with for a movie, though, so I'm not complaining.
Sylar Thinks He's the Bomb. Peter Thinks He's the Bomb, Too: From what I understand to be true, Peter is right, and we have one hell of a cliffhanger coming our way in the finale.

From what we know of Ted's powers, even if Sylar does kill him, does explode and is the bomb, I don't think the explosion would harm him.....i.e. he doesn't die from it and doesn't need Claire's ability to revive from it.....
I'm also along for the ride that the FBI picks up Ted, but I'm not thinking we see peter when they are picking him up...but I could be wrong there....there's something much more going on there for peter, claire, etc.... to all be behind that chain link fence...
also, why is it that Peter seems so clueless the more we see of him??
The whole "we have to go stop Ted"...Peter, are you stupid?? do you not remember the fact that you absorb others abilities, and if you think you are the bomb, why would you intentionally go in the vicinity of he whom you would acquire the "power to explode" from????
Wait a second....I had not realized this before....when it is said that Ted is picked up by the Fed,
you think they would haul him off in a regular car, or a big huge SWAT type truck. Just like the one we see Sylar flip over at night in the preview. I think Ted is knocked out by the Fed (or the company, or somebody before he goes Nova and taken into custody).
Also at night (and I would hazard a guess later that same night) we see Sylar on top of the building and his eyes flash with fire. I think this is the point Sylar has killed Ted (am sure the SWAT truck flipping like that helped a heck of a lot) and taken his powers, setting up the final showdown.
I'm thinking that the bomb is still a distinct possibility until Hiro actively makes an action to stop the cascade events from happening.
Either he's going to kill Sylar, and stop thread #1, or he's going to be able to have someone around to calm Peter, evading #2, so that they can have option #3 - No boom.

Thoughts?
I don't think Hiro will have a role to play in events....

Great theory. I hadn't put two and two together, but Sylar flipping the SWAT van over certainly seemed important in the grand scheme of things when I first watched the preview. Now I know why.
Jorm, I imagine we'll see Sylar taken down, in some form or another, by the end of the show... but I imagine the bomb's going off either way. Ted's (most likely) dead, Sylar's incapacitated, and Peter? Well, he's just bound to explode sooner or later.

Ah ....very nice Minotaur...I love it and am on board with you on that one...and further cementing (in my mind at least) that they pick up Ted and not PEter

Most of the other characters do not have enough information of future events to choose sides. Nathan, at this point could go either way
My question is, How did Linderman manipulate events in such a way to make the bomb inevitable?
Linderman has tracked and manipulated the lives of DL, Niki, and Micah. He knows the powers of Nathan, Peter, and Claire.
Is there a Time Traveler working for Linderman countering every effort Hiro makes? OR, maybe a person with highly developed Precog providing him with the information he needs to tweak the possible future. Linderman did have an obession with Mendez prints.
Sorry if this is slightly off topic, I dont have enough posts to make a topic yet...lol
