I think Adam's power growed so far, that he actually became immortal. Hiro turned him into 10000 pieces back in ancient japan. Now he is back and looks quite healthy
I think those abilities evolve via practice. Regeneration seems like some passive power.(cant be developed in something more, always on), but its not.
Adam doesnt seems to be such a bad guy, he justs wants his revenge. Will see where the plot will lead us. |

| Couldn't you just feed him into an incinerator with the Haitian around? Ash shouldn't regenerate, should it? |

Myself, I think one of those industrial strength shredders in big industrial recycling centers would do nicely.
I don't think the pieces will glue themselves back ala the Terminator 2 movie...... |

I'm pretty sure they know how to kill him (claire and peter could be stopped with a piece in the head) and just keep him to use him. Same as Sylar, they want to keep and use people with abilities for their own needs, not kill them. |

| Last night, Adam said there is no coming back from that one, in reference to be shot in the head! So I guess this means he can be killed after all. Claire and Peter would also be done in by a gunshot wound in the noggin! |

Isn't it interesting, though, that their blood can heal people who have been shot in the head... |

| Yeah, but what happened to HRG was a single bullet; a shotgun blast could pretty much obliterate ur head. |

However..
Was HRG's injury brain damage? From everything we've seen, brain injury is what stops the ability from healing. The blockage from that tree branch stopped Claire from regenerating until it was removed. The glass shard that was lodged in Peter's skull kept him from healing until Claire removed it. However, if there was an entrance and exit wound for HRG's gunshot injury, then it stands to reason that the offending part was no longer there, thus the wound could be healed.
However, if a shotgun blast were to damage the skull and brain to a degree where parts were scattered, I don't think that the body would be able to heal from that injury. That's what Adam was referring to, not the injury to the head. But removal of the head from the body. |

| I think it's all confusing. It almost like when you were a kid playing a game and you would make up the rules as you went on. |

| Remember this one thing though. Peter and Claire had something lodged in the back of the head. The same place Sylar was digging on Candace when they showed him back away from her. Perhaps that part getting damaged is the place that holds the actual ability. |

| Moh removed the bullet from HRG's eye before he gave the blood, which allowed him to come back to life. |

HRG was healed externally, not a self-activiting ability. Probably doesn't matter what part of him gets wasted at long as you are generally in tact.
THe most powerful healer was probably Lindermann. |

But was Linderman a healer of the same ilk as Claire/Adam? He was able to heal injuries & diseases in others, as well as making plants perk up. However, he didn't get back up after DL scrambled his brains. Of course, you could make the argument that DL's attack disabled any healing ability that Linderman possessed, but I don't think that self-healing was his power - or at least not the unconscious kind shown by Claire/Adam. He might have needed to will it done just like when he healed others.
Also, we've never seen Adam or Claire heal another person, except by direct application of their blood. If healing another through will or touch alone, as Linderman could do, is part of the same power, one would think that Adam would have mastered that ability many years ago - but he uses his blood to save Nathan.
Also, it is quite clear that Adam doesn't age due to his ability - at least not once he reached maturity and/or the power manifested. Linderman, on the other hand, was rather old (white hair and all) and so this would also suggest that he didn't have the same ability. (As we know that his healing of others, at least, manifested quite some time ago.) So unless his self-healing manifested late in life, or if it actually requires lots of injuries along the way to activate the "eternal youth" portion, then that is more evidence that Linderman was different.
Of course, Linderman didn't seem very scared when Nathan was pointing a gun at him, so maybe he could self-heal?
It all gets very confusing, especially when you can only go by what you see on the screen, read in the comics and glean from the writers, eh? Gets even worse when you can't be sure that everything the characters say is even true. (I'm sure Adam isn't above lying!) |

I don't think that Linderman was able to self-heal, but he did have the regenerative touch. After all, a wilting plant coming back around does make for a convincing start. That, and Linderman healing Heidi for Nathan is also quite a feat. Paralysis isn't that easy to recover from, if at all, and so this ability is something that Linderman used to apply pressure to quite a few folks. I think he might have used it like a card player who keeps trump cards. Play it at the right time and to your best advantage.
I think he'd have learned this while following Adam. After all, Linderman was a "disciple" of Adam's, so the chances of him following what he'd been taught are quite great. That, and Adam would know about using healing to his advantage quite well. Granted, Adam's ability to heal comes from his blood, while Linderman's was from touch, but the principle is the same. I think that's one of the reasons that Linderman had such influence and power when we first started hearing about him in Season 1.
Now, Adam has a new proxy, but this one can do quite a bit more than heal! he can fly, heal, TK, use electricity, and many, many other things as well. It's like opening up a toy box, and fiding one of each toy inside. I don't think Adam's going to let Peter get away easily, if at all. So the confrontation between Hiro and Peter is going to be one that I'm anxious to see happen. |
