I wonder if Kensei was the first Hero to use the symbol. He doesn't seem like a bad guy. Why is the same symbol on everything lately? I especially wonder why that symbol is on the pictures of the "12" prior to their deaths. Is the real villian Matt's dad or Kensei, or Sylar???

Regeneration isnt his only ability.
I believe hes an empath... like peter.
Remember when bob said, "This headline would of read, "Tsunami wipes out (town name)"" And he blames Adam Monroe (Kensei) for that.

You could be right. Also, when Peter shot the eletric out of his hand, Adam just obsorbed it in his hand, and then his hand regenerated. Looked to me like he does have other abilities.

I don't think so. I'm thinking that Adam knows his ability, and is willing to take the damage, because he can regenerate. Thus, he took the electrocution, and healed. Plain and simple.

I don't think he's got much more than a very quick healing reflex. But then again, I've been wrong before, so this could be another one. However, I really doubt it.

Electrical shock doesn't always cause visible damage. There can be a lot of internal burns, and electrical disruption can cause cardiac arrest (even if lightning doesn't actually "touch" a person). Now, the writers might have gone with Adam being fried to a crisp like Ricky for dramatic effect, but we didn't see much of him besides his hand anyway.

He also didn't look a day over 26 (David Anders' actual age) back in Montreal. So, doesn that mean the regeneration ability confers immortality and eternal youth?

Or, do you think he has other powers he's developed over the centuries?

I have to say most likely just regen is his power. If he was an empath he wouldn't have told hiro to just freeze time and cut his head off. I think that he just gained full power over his regen ability to an extent that Claire would never see.

He obviously never aged like a highlander. I take it once you manifest with that ability you freeze at that age forever. Aging would be stopped by your body fighting you getting wrinkles and stuff (organs aging as well).

Claire will most likely stay a teen forever if she doesn't die.

I think it would be cool if the major story arc is "how to stop an immortal man". Lets think about it, who could take him down? Also, what happens to Peter as result of absorbing both Claire and Adam's powers if the are the same? I think it would be really crazy if the story ended up with Sylar being the only one who could stop Adam. If Adam doesn't age, does that mean Claire will always be around too? Does the virus cancel out powers, and is it the only way to defeat those like Sylar, Maury, and Adam? What I really don't understand is why not just use the Haitian against these villians? My only thought is that maybe if Sylar took the Haitians power somehow, that he would be too big a threat. Can't Peter also use the Haitians powers? Peter must be the only one who can kick all villians asses...if he could only remember how!

Ok, here's my far fetched Theory about Adam. He isn't any more special than Claire, its just regen. The company dude said that they trapped him for a while. How? Hiro's father, who has time travel, threw Adam back in time to the 1600s as his last act before he died. Adam screwed around in the past for a while with Hiro, until Hiro blew him totally up. It took 400 years until that particular area was excavated. The archaeologists pieced enough of Adam's body back together, that he was able to regenerate again, and now he's back in our time.

OR

At the last moment, before Adam was blown up, Hiro threw him forward in time to the modern day and he was chronologically attracted to Peter because he is the only one in his time who can bend space/time.

Adam just survived the explosion, why wouldn't he have? They said Claire could get near Peter if exploded. Peter survived his own explosion presumably because of his power from Claire. Hiro didn't stick around long enough to see what happened to Kensei/Adam. It seems to me that Adam has just been around for a long time.

I'd have to say that Adam has been around the longest of them all. He's the original progenitor of the 'evolved' species, and the one that ultimately decides who is going to gain the abilities, and who is going to live in ignorance.

However, because of his power and influence, I think that the 12 decided that he needed to be neutralized, so that they could make their own mark on the world, and not have interference from Adam if their plans didn't agree with his.

Thus, they take him and lock him away. He sits and rots in a confined cell while his students then play God with a world that doesn't really know that they exist. But they screw up, and give him the opportunity to escape. Once he's out, he then takes it into his own hands to exact his revenge, and then continue on with his ultimate plan to "save the world".

now its confirmed that its regeneration. Stated also that he became "immortal", i think thats the right word, because he went through cellular regeneration so many times
