I tend to agree Action. After all, Sylar really gave me the "Night of the Living Dead" type of vibe with each of his victims, so my thought is that he studied the subject for a while, gauging their ability and their actions and habit patterns. Then, once he was reassured that he had something to gain from that person, he'd strike, and take the brain. Before consuming it, he'd study it to find the 'abnormality' that gave that specific gift, then he'd consume the brain in the belief that the ability wouldn't work without taking something of his victim as well.
That's my whole take on the Sylar ability. A combination of both study and consumption. One for science, and one for superstition.. That to me sums up Gabriel Gray in a tagline.
Thoughts? |

| That's exactly what I've been saying all along. Studying makes sense and all, but not as the only thing that needs to be done to take powers. IMO they've already told us Sylar eats brains from Molly's words, but they could show him consuming brains to take powers and some people would STILL argue that he doesn't really need to eat them, but study them because of the nature of his power. |

| Study them with his tongue, maybe some sort of gland that is specific to his power. Maybe Sylar was born to be what he is, just as Peter was to be a Mimic? His power is that he is a Predator: an adaptation in this sudden jump in human evolution, designed to control a "Baby Boom" of these people with powers by bringing down the population. |

| That's tight. Hahaha. I'm not saying it's true or anything...but if it is....that WOULD be pretty cool. And hey, kring did say there's more going on with Sylar's power than we know...so....ANYTHING could be possible! |

Hi guys -- back from mini-vacation.
The writers sort of intimated that the brains are being eaten in "Behind the Eclipse".
I believe at one point, I had posted a link to one answer in one thread and then AF had actually posted a different link from a different week's interview in another thread.
The answer, in other words, is somewhere here in our forum, OR over at "Comic Book Resources."
Bottom Line: They will definitively answer it this year. |
