Here's a theory that was brought up by Supermn7, and connects with mine/Reko's theory of Claire being the little girl. Here's what Supermn7 wrote:
"This is in line with my theories. The indicator for me watching the theory that the little girl is Claire ... is that Matt (cop) has not been introduced to any other characters (other than HRG and Voodoo, and Baseball Cap char...who all could be questionably time traveling from the future).
So, yes, I think it is plausible that the little girl is Claire, AND that Peter could be Sylar. AND, if Sylar has obtained all powers, then he could time travel. Also meaning that the hat is not old, gross, and stinky...just being seen in many different time sequences ...and perhaps covering Peter's/Sylar's bald head & scar =-O
**sidenote on the Peter/Sylar theory* I am trying to think of any instance that Peter and Sylar are together, thusfar. ANyone?
-- because MY THEORY is ... Dr. Suresh was training Peter in his powers, and Peter was becoming Sylar...and HRG/Voodoo intervened and wiped Peter, with Dr. Suresh getting (supposedly) killed somehow in the process.
This is why Peter has been continually asking himself and stating.."Do you ever feel like you are meant to do something more/special?" ...because he knows/remembers a little...as if, Voodoo didn't wipe it all. Now Peter is slowly gathering an understanding of his powers again, and may turn into Sylar again, unless HRG and Voodoo do not organize the Heroes in time"

Now here's my take on things. This is indeed a very feasible theory. Questions arise about why Matt has yet to come into contact with any of the heroes. What's more is that there is no signal or preview that has showed us he will anytime in the near future. One explanation for this: Matt is of a different point in time. For all we know, Matt could be from the past, as in, 10-12 years in the past, thus making Claire a little girl... even possibly THE little girl. Just a possibility.
Now, in regards to Peter being Sylar, let's think about that scene with the little girl again. We know that he is either telekinetic or something alone those lines because he forced the blonde FBI agent to point the gun at her own head. I originally assumed that he could also spontaneously regenerate his cells, like Claire, because he got shot, fell down, got back up and you could hear the bullets fall out of his body. I am now not so sure about this ability. If Peter is Sylar, then let's not forget that Peter mimic's other people's abilities, and he also retains them for a short period of time. In that scene with Matt and the blonde FBI agent, Sylar was JUST IN CONTACT WITH THE LITTLE GIRL, and if the little girl really is Claire, it would explain how he could survive those shots to the chest unharmed, because he still had her powers within him.
So yes, perhaps Peter is Sylar, but some of you may be confused about timeline issues. Think about this. Matt is from 10-14 years in the past, becasue Claire is a little girl. Okay, so where does Peter/Sylar fit in the scheme of things. The Peter we know is clearly from the present timeline. Peter-Sylar could be from Future Hiro's timeline (now I'm getting all Dragonball Z with things, in terms of Cell and Trunks's timeline and the real timeline, for those who know what I'm talking about, but bear with me). Another reason I think this is a possibility is because of Future Hiro's demeanor when he approached Peter on the train. If you noticed, he was very abrupt. "I have a message for you. This is what you have been waiting for. Save the Cheerleader, Save the world. Save the Cheerleader. Save the world." I know he was in a rush for time (ironically enough, lol), but it seemed as if he didn't want to reveal too much to Peter AND that he was a little hostile in a sense (maybe not the right word) which may indicate that they (Peter and Future Hiro) may not be the best of friends in Future Hiro's timeline, thus an explanation for Peter becoming Sylar. If we go back to Matt's scene with the little girl, we also remember that Peter-Sylar could fly, which is how he escaped. Maybe Future Peter/Sylar absorbed the brain of somebody who could fly. Get my drift? (a.k.a. HIS OWN BROTHER, NATHAN!). Again though, this is all just a theory.
Now, Future Peter, who has now become Sylar, goes back in time to absorb Claire's brain so he can become invincible, but he must do so to the weaker, child Claire because the present Claire's powers are too strong and developed for him to do that.
One thing's almost certain in my mind... we have yet to hear about what really happened to Suresh, and Voodoo's mind erasing power is more significant in the series than it is portrayed to be. I think I've talked msyelf all out... let me know what you think
Well said. I do think Dr. Suresh is still alive. More importantly, I have decided that Peter is not only mimicing powers, but his ability is more of a siphon (like that of Rogue; X-Men). Notice how...
-Peter did not have to get high to render the drawing, or even be that close to sketch the first time.
-Peter did fly with his brother, and Nathan was struggling to stay airborne, it seemed.
-And finally, yes, how abrupt Hiro was in the subway, as if he knew that, if Peter got too anxious (triggering siphoning power), then Hiro would not have the ability to travel back to the future.
In sum, it seems something tempts/manipulates Peter to be so greedy, as to become Sylar, as though his siphoning ability is almost involuntary (like Claire's healing). Also, Peter's power (again, like Claire's) is supplemental...meaning, for them to truly be effective for the greater good (or bad), they need to be around other Heroes.
It just came to me. Peter can only "temporarily" siphon from Heroes when he is in near proximity of them, but to "permenantly" acquire their powers (you got it Hiro fans) he has to remove their brain and absorb (eat) the ribonucleuic acid/RA/RNA (the strange strand/symbol that keeps appearing) which supposedly is the root of these super powers.
Which begs the question, what were Claire's (little girl's) parents abilities? Was it Sylar/Peter or HRG that froze, chopped, absorbed their brain/genetic matter? Maybe Peter/Sylar just needs to have a portion of the brain matter with him to have those powers, so he freezes them, and carries small chunks around in a cool lil refrigerated fanny pack =p
--OH WAIT! Just thought ...or was it our Hero, Hiro?? Is that why he wheilds the sword? To remove skulls. Was he the one that traveled back to that date, 10-14 years ago, and killed Claire's parents?? ... neeeeed more...inform ation ... muust ...watch MORE HEROES! ! *pant pant*
I suppose it depends on ones view of time. If Peter/Sylar went back in time to absorb powers, then would the characters in the future have them? In my view of time, if P/S goes back in time to take powers, the characters in the futrure would not have powers, because P/S changed history. You can't develop powers later on if they were taken from you as a kid.
Or, you could argue that P/S went into an alternate unverse, took their powers, and in our universe, they still have them. Too complex for a network show, if you ask me,
does Sylar want to get the powers from this universe as well and be uber powerful? very superman like with bizarro world, and from taht movie The One with jet li, about parrallel universes.

Ah, the sword! Nice thinking Supermn7. Hiro could have indeed been the one to go back in time and slice the heads open and take the brains. It could have been for himself, or (as I would like to believe) it could have been to protect the others so that Sylar didn't get his hands on the brains. What we have to think about is this... why was Isaac also killed and his brain also taken in Hiro's "alternate" future in episode 2? Probably because whoever nuked NYC discovered that Isaac knew, thus taking the brain not to obtain the power of foresight, but to protect his secret. I think there may be some significance there as well. We shall see...
Peter/Sylar? I dont like this theory, but it fits with everything. I hope this is wrong, but peter may be able to be saved if it is so. lets wait and see.
I am totally on-board with this theory ... Sylar is Peter; By consuming their brains, he gains their powers permanently.
I'll roll-in HRG/Voodoo along this timeline theory. One major thing to remember is that all the heroes are connected (proven by Suresh's theory) ...
(Past) HRG/Voodoo use Matt as their starting point to track down Sylar --> (Present) HRG/Voodoo are still tracking Sylar ... This explains why he is Claire's foster parent & why he takes Nathan in LV --> (Future) Sylar sends Hiro back in time, so that Peter can connect with Claire.
I think the peter/cyler theory is good, but is a bit too confusing for normal viewers
the whole alternate pasts/futures is kind of too much, and will require an entire episode or more to 'fill people in'
I'm not sure about the eating of brains. When i first saw the frozen bodies, i thought that it was done that way to preserve the brain.
that symbol is for sure the 'thing' that symbolizes the powers tho, being that small part of their DNA strands.
I think the biggest thing is trying to figure out why 'the cheerleader' is key
im thinking when she dies it kind of sets her dad off to make a bad decision which snowball effects.

how does sylar manage that? and i've been rattling my brain (the damn hamster is tired spinning this wheel he gave up a while ago) about the whole save claire = save the world. it def. has something to do with her ability, which makes me think that once she hones the skill i don't think it will be just a Self ability anymore, maybe she can heal by touch, a la NightCrawler and Kitty in xmen that can take you in another dimension and through walls if you're touching them.
and this other one is REALLY off the beaten path here. the xplosion in NYC has something to do with and interdimensional "gate" which brings Uluru through? but i still don't know how claire would work with the theory.
