Hello everyone. ^_^

I've been listening to some of the other Heroes podcasts around..9th wonder..10th wonder..

And I'm frustrated by the hosts' lack of knowledge about the show. They often make false statements regarding things that happened in the show...don't remember the names of characters...make stupid, idiotic theories that go counter-point to available cannon.

I've never done a podcast before, but I think with the knowledge of some of you board members here and I'm sure we have some creative people that could do music/intros/soundclips and whatnot, we could put together a good heroes podcast.

I was thinking it'd be a weekly thing, released on Wednesday or Thursday so we can watch the episode on Monday, collaborate on Tuesday about what the show will be about, type up notes on synopsis, theories, etc, record on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, and get the show edited and up on iTunes on Wednesday night.

We could include a show synopsis, discussion regarding the latest episode, graphic novel, discussion about the preview for the next episode, the best of series for best theories from these very forums, fan interviews from these forums, and maybe, if we're awesome enough, get some cast/crew interviews going on.

What do y'all think? Who would be interested in being a host, editor, music person, transcripter, etc?

It's a great idea, but we all contradict each other and ourselves SOOO much that we'd end up degenerating into argument before you get anything scripted!

Either that or your podcast would just be you saying, "it's all done by magic."....!

Hey, there's an idea....you can frame your podcasts as debates - get two people to argue out their theories and see if they can arrive at a conclusion.

Personally, I'm chronically shy so I won't be contributing any recordings!

Brilliant idea though, and if you do it, I'll certainly link it on my blog. Well, either that or I'll just lean over and talk to my blog's other reader and tell her about it.

I think it is a good idea. I am with Slippy about the whole shy thing, though, so I won't be doing any recording. I wouldn't know how anyways.

Slippy: I'm guessing that is your wife?

All you need to become a host/guest is a decent mic and Skype. ^_^

I know what you mean about the arguing and whatnot...but, if we can find hosts that have a reasonable amount of chemistry, then I'm sure we could get over that. And that's what editing is for to edit out all the cuss words we fling at each other. "Are you @#(*$#@ing serious? Sylar isn't going to turn good and dance happily in a musical number at the end of the @#$*ing season, you dumb @#*$@!"

Sadly, I don't have a mic or Skype (I don't even know what Skype is!). I barely know anyone here (I'm closest to Slippy, and he and I don't even know each other!), so that whole "chemistry" thing wouldn't work out too well either.

This could be fun! Tell you what, I will look into getting a conference line that can record and have it setup when Heroes returns in April. Then afterwards the recording can be posted as a podcast. As the original creator of the idea, I'd of course love to take part in this.

I'm thinking if we have enough interest, we could make this really good, actually. Have a nice themed intro using soundbytes from the show or if we have any music artists out there, a remix of the Heroes music to intro us...

So, for our first podcast, should this get off the ground, we have a few things to discuss.

* Introduction (For this one, introduce the staff (hosts, editors, etc))
* Heroes News - Run over the important news for this week
* Episode 19 synopsis
* Episode 19 discussion
* A look back at spoilers given for .07% and determine which were true, which were false, and which were outright lies.
* Episode 20 preview & speculation
* Theories & Discussion from the hosts and from listeners (For this one, we should set up a voicemail line on Skype or something for people to call in, and we can set up an e-mail address for us to receive it on, and post on here, maybe in a new Podcast forum? what the discussion topic will be for this week and pick the best answers and play them on the show.)
* End the show
* Spoilers section

I would be happy to be one host. It'd be good to have 3 hosts total, 2 if we can't find a 3rd.

I'll work on editing an intro and exit music from independent artists this week, but if we have people out there that can write and perform their own music, let me know. ^_^

I don't know about podcasts, at all. Do I NEED an Ipood to view, or can I do it from my desktop? I don't have the former & probably never will due to my condition. I couldn't be "on camera" unless you're looking for a Stephen Hawking stand-in Smile
