Awesome find, thanks Lavi.
I hope Mr. Nakamura has a power and that we find out what it is.
It seems that he's against Linderman and the OWI. |

| It's interesting that Hiro's dad mentioned that he's waited a long time for a Nakamura to ascend. Wouldn't that imply that he's been through quite a few generations? And the eyes in the reflection off the sword look so much younger than his, perhaps he's the Kensei master guy he used to tell Hiro stories about. |

So Hiro has a very similar with his father, as Linderman had with Nathan. So that brings up the original question, Which one is telling the truth?
Also, i believe that Mr. Nakamura power is some form of immortality, not so much hes immortal more of he just cant die easily. |

Awesome find, Lavi!
I'm wondering if this will show that Kaito is Takezo Kensei. There was something weird with the eyes in the reflection of the sword when he pulled it out of the sheath. |

| We know for certain that Kaito has a power, we just haven't gotten a clue as to what it is. There was definitely something weird about the eyes. After pausing it just to make sure I wasn't seeing things, I thought maybe it was just refraction and light bending, but those are definitely NOT George Takei's eyes. His are much narrower. |

| he makes refernces to have een around a long time. what if to some extent he is immortal. not his body per say, his spirit. his eyes (also a different color) seem to be that of someone else. could be his ancestor. if that were the case I would lean towards believing nakamura, he has the wisdom of generations. and it would seem that nathans father took to nakamuras side when the divide happened. |

I'm more into the Phoenix kind of power, where the person ages normally but at some point of his/her life when s/he is suppoused to have a natural death, it begins to rejuvenate till some point... thus makin' s/he not completely inmortal because the person can still die from mortal wound or a lethal disease though....
EDIT: kind of revelation... lol... Maybe when /she is suppoused to die of natural death, then the person sheds his/her skin and becomes younger, think of a a snake sheding its skin but instead of getting older it gets younger... |

You know, Japanese Animation does this sort of thing all the time. You know, they have some immortal spirit from the past, inhabit a person in the present in order to fight some evil.
What if indeed, Takezo Kensei has been reincarnated in Kaito Nakamura and Hiro Nakamura is his son. What an awesome alliance that would be. Like I said -- Japanese Animation does this sort of thing all the time (look at "Mirage of Blaze", etc.) Who's to say that our writers have not seen some Japanese Anime?
Good call Kitome! |

It occurred to me that the immortal spirit resides in the sword instead of Kaito Nakamura, but Kaito himself said that the sword is not important. But that might have referred only to the sword Hiro got from Linderman. I agree that reflection was not Kaito's eyes.
Hiro still has that sincerity or openness of feeling. I'm not sure how to describe it. I once wrote that Peter doesn't hold much back, but that's also true of Hiro. But I don't think I've seen Hiro mad once all season. Future Hiro was more closed, but he seemed pretty level. In the previews, we see Hiro delighted when his father can help him and crushed when Nathan won't. I love that. It takes a lot of strength to stay that vulnerable.
A few scenes are guilty pleasures for me. Jessica flinging Linderman across the room is my new one. (Others are "Maybe you should have thought of that before you shot her. Twice." and "If you ever threaten our son again, I will put my heel through your skull.")
Where I come from, the only correct response to a question including anything like "you think you're better than me?" is "no." Anything else might as well be, "OK, hit me with your best shot." I'm not sure that's relevant, except that I can see where DL might be coming from. |

I definitely agree with you there, Acidman. I'm thinking that the eyes have something to do with Takezo Kensei rather than Kaito's ability itself (I know you didn't mean to suggest that, but I just wanted to put that reassurance out there )
And Herc, I definitely like the notion you've proposed regarding Kaito being the reincarnation of Takezo - I'm favoring it moreso than either Hiro/Kaito being Takezo himself, especially after the recent spoilers regarding season 2 and how it will be about
the ancestors of our Heroes.
Thanks again, Lavi! |

And of course, this will fall right in line with what they were doing with Jessica/Nikki, so no-one in the audience will be like, "oh, no, they can't have someone with possesion!" Oh, yes they can. They've done it, and they will again, even if it's a little different.
I wonder if Hiro's grandfather had a power also, or if the possesion from the sword will skip him because it wasn't time yet? (the power wasn't needed yet) -- I bet we'll find out in "Generations". |
