NBC has announced it will air the remaining episodes of Heroes in a LOST derived schedule. Following a six week hiatus, Heroes will return to run straight through with no repeats on January 22nd. This will split the 22 episode season evenly in half.
So after episode 11 Fallout airs on 12/04/06.

| Excellent news. I believe this was done, as they only recorded so many episodes, and now need time to record the rest. New shows do not record an entire season at once. Instead, they record some episodes, and then wait to see if the show will stick. If it does, they make more. If not, they scrap it. |

| I hope that if there is a climax, it is not an artificially rushed climax. A great climax in a split season was the first season of 24. Fox at first ordered only 13 episodes, so the writers wrote in a great story that fit into 13 episodes and then it branched out again to complete in 24. They planned it from the beginning though. |

What else is new.. it seems this is the norm now..
I know that LOST made this decicision after people kept complaining that they started airing new episodes in between two weeks of re-runs and no one really knew when a new episode was going to air..
so after much deliberation decided to do 6 episodes straight then finish in febuary with all new episodes each week... no re-runs what so ever.
I like this way better, its like a reward for waiting a few months.
look what happened to Friends.. everyone wanted more money and turns out they make fewer episodes each year and your stuck watching the same damn re-runs all the time.
okay sorry now im ranting |

Yeah, major withdrawal. I'm going to have to live off YouTube clippy thingys for a while...
Wait a minute, don't they do reruns during the 6 week thing? That would mean I would be able to see the first 1 and a half episodes I missed! Oh, I hope so cause that would rock... |

Bugger, this is so unfair, how can they just leave us hanging like that, no wonder the trailer said something about the last episode of this year....
Aw,Jan 22 is so far away, it's more than a month and it's just more than a month too much of waiting....
Heard a hero will die in the next episode, i hate it when this happens, i couldn't take Charlie dying, now, they are gonna kill another, please, please, please, don't become lost in "lost"....

| This way is better than the way Showtime does their shows -- they'll be off for up to a year at a time between seasons. With Dead Like Me, it was a good 9 months before they announced that it was cancelled and not coming back. Mandy Patinkin had a new series before it was announced, even. |

I just read in USA Today that there will not be any more new Heroes episodes until January 22 ( ) after which there will be seven straight new episodes and then five straight episodes in April after a short break. Basically, what is to happen is that each string of episodes will sort of be a season in and of itself. The paper also said that tonight's episode will be the end of the "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" plot line and beginning Jan. 22 there will be a new plot line that will last for the seven episodes and then a new plot line for the five episodes that will air beginning in April. Anyway, should be interesting tonight but I dread the wait until January 22nd. |
