That's good news to hear about Fantastic Four JJAFARGI
I didn't want to chance the movie from what I had seen on the trailers
and from what I heard on a few reviews.
I saw Daredevil when it first came out and am still mad at it,
I'll give FF a try on DVD before the new one comes out.

Why listen to reviews & critics? Hasnt there ever been a movie trashed by critics that you liked? I loved Fantastic Four. Daredevil was good, but the directors cut is better. You have to make your own opinions based what you think of the trailer. If I like the trailer, I go see it even if it gets bad reviews. Every box offoce smash that made hundreds of millions of dollars has some people that hated it. A movie you loved, I might have hated & vice versa. Basically critcs are paid to give their opinion. I could do that!

I generally agree with you DAVE
but sometimes you've got to use the critics
even if you don't always agree with them.
I don't mind seeing a bad movie every now and then
but a film that makes me mad is one that I want to avoid.
When a movie maker completely revisions a comic book character
and makes him into something that differs too much
from the original comic book
I get ticked off,
especially if it is a character I really care about.
The thing that even the worst of these critics do on television
is show clips from the film.
If the clips don't look like the movie I want to see
then I don't see it.
Also,
I like to listen to critics who I know understand the subject.
On FF and Hulk I read people's comments
posted on forums from people who read comic books.
When someone like JJAFARGI or you says he likes FF
on a site that is dedicated to Super Heroes
I am much more likely to value their opinion
than the that of the average critic.
Just like you said DAVEyou are a critic
as is everyone with an opinion.

I can understand that. But I still dont listen to critics or even watch them. 9 times out of 10 they love those artsy-fartsy movies that I cant even bring myself to watch & they trash the slasher flicks like Friday the 13th & Halloween & Nightmare of Elm Street. I've watched all of those movies & loved all.....well, MOST of them.

I too think Daredevil doesn't really deserve the terrible rap it usually gets...I felt M.C.D. was great as the King Pin! I highly doubt any other actor, of any color, could have properly captured a villain of such stature. And the rest of the cast was generally ok...not especially good, but definitely not downright awful as most critics would have you believe. I also preferred Bullseye's look in the movie over his getup in the comics lol.

I have always been a person that hated if a movie didnt follow a book. When you talk about making a movie from a comic it is nearly impossible to get everything right because you have alternate timelines and "special editions" of comics. There are a couple differnt Green Goblins and a few Venoms.

I liked the book Jurassic Park but wasnt fond of the movie. Hated Congo the movie. Loved the book The Beach, and was ok about the movie. Fight Club is a much better book than movie... etc.

To continue to beat a dead horse
I just want to say that with genre films
like Slasher and Horror films you have to pick your critics.
None of the TV critics are apt to appreciate the finer points
of a film like Blood Orgy of the She Devils
or Surf Nazis Must Die
or Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer
there are countless sites on the internet with reviews
and books by film critics who do.
Try the Fangoria web site
or buy the Psychomania Film Book by James Weldon
and see plenty of cool reviews of these films and others like them.

I also saw the preview before "Night at the Museum" (very good movie) but what makes it awesome is that it's also a preview before "The Covenant".
