#2 - MAJOR TWIST, Peter as he figures out his powers, finds he can slowly but surely master other peoples powers to the point that he can use them indefinitely... when he meets Hiro he rises in power greatly... and finds a way to send himself back in time... he does send himself back in time but far back (since he has little control of his powers) and starts to feel depressed about losing his new friends (other heroes) and starts to become evil (since he has powers of everyone else and his own) ... he later figures out the powers he takes weaken over time.. and unless he can get the brain of the person (to store and regenerate his stolen powers from.. he can lose them permanently (or at least until he 'recharges') so he slowly begins to figure out that all his absorbed powers have begun to interact with eachother... granting him limited telekinesis (move small objects or freeze things) and as he goes about his brain hunt he begins to realize that he is sylar himself...
yes i know #2 would be paradox-ish.. but who knows.. maybe he was destined to do all those things so he isnt changing anything by going back in time... lol
First post here. Found the link on Hiro's Blog on the NBC site.
Not read through much but one thing no one seems to have touched on with Claire's dad is his ability to be in three parts of the country in the same day. He's in New York. He's in California, And then back home in Odessa Texas with Claire that night.
In E4 his wife hollers at him that he's going ot be late for his plane, but still there's no way to be in three parts of the country flying commercially. At least no way to do it and actually get anything done.
I'm leaning towards this guy being Sylar. Patient Zero. He's obviously touched in the head, and knows that what he is doing is wrong per the "Forgive Me's" that Mohinder found in the New York apartment.
I'm still debating with myself what exactly I think Sylar's ability is.
Ok then, I'm not imagining he's in 3 places at once! I don't think HRG is Sylar though, but there is something fishy about him.
nah2.. it can't be dr. suresh, he looks like a white male (as what i saw in 3rd episode), when slyar vs. matt.
sylar can't be peter coz sylar is patient zero. so this patient zero must be someone like, hmm, hrg in future?
my thoughts, since we saw hrg trying to neutralize everyone, what if he neutralize and taken everyone's power in the future, and then come back to the past (well, if he took everyone's power, surely he got hiro's as well, time travelling) and tried to kill everyone who be be in between him and the WORLD DOMINATION. hahaha
NICE! HRG taking Hiro's traveling...that falls in-line with my theory that HRG and Voodoo are time-travlers. I think Matt is about 12 years in the past, and they traveled back to interact with him for a reason.
Also, I enhanced a hi-res capture of baseball cap char, and his ears appear to be that of a caucasian man. I say man, because I am quite sure I saw slight beard growth.
Strangely enough, he looks a bit like Nathan, although I hate to admit that, as it does not agree with any of my theories or any other structured theory I have seen, thusfar.
1 - open locked doors to get into secure area
2 - made the agent aim gun at herself
3 - stopped bullets
4 - lifted himself off the floor (he didn't just stand up)
5 - lifted himself up the wall
We don't know if he caused the frozeness of the corpses. But with TK he assumably could open the skull to remove the brain.
I have my own theory of who Sylar is from a bit before he was shown but it solidified as things went on.
1. Sylar has been shown to us.
2. Sylar is a main character.
3. Sylar is not male.
Niki's alter ego is Sylar. Niki herself, has the one power that isn't a power but rather an illness. Her alter ego has the power but her alter ego is not a main character. Why?
We are shown the protagonists as main characters, while not even getting the names of most of the villians. I think Niki therefore falls on the hero side but up until now I cannot see her powers. I do think she will need to defeat Sylar or face that she herself, through her alter ego is Sylar. Following Niki, who may or may not have powers on her own, makes sense if she is important in that regard.
Niki's alter ego set up everything for the disposal of the bodies but had Niki dispose of them. Why?
What I specifically noticed from this was that time was lost (Niki did not get back to Micah) and that Niki was at the Airport parking lot. What was Niki's alter ego doing at the Airport parking lot, and if she was able to arrange to get a "body dump car" to the house and clean up... why couldn't she finish the job? Had her alter ego dumped other bodies at the same site? The instructions seemed to be set up like someone who knew all the steps by heart.
Niki's alter ego knew of the burial site. Why?
The most obvious answer is because she has used it herself. Remember, we witnessed her murder as well as cover it up, so previous murders are not a stretch. Another explanation, and one implied is that we have stumbled is Niki's husband's choice burial ground of his foes.
Niki at this point does not realize her alter ego can become her, so why does she accept that her alter ego coincidentally brought her to the same burial site? The disposal is too carefully planned to be "tacked on" to someone else's dump site.
Those questions set the seed of doubt about Niki's alter ego but there were more clues as things went on.
1. Niki's alter ego "left" at the airport parking lot. The airport gives you access to the rest of the country and gives Niki's alter ego a chance to go to LA for instance and make it back to be Niki.
2. Niki has a tattoo that matches the mark that Suresh sees in the DNA sequence. He sees it as junk and I suspect that the secret is within the mark (as in the mark is masking the important information). Could this connect Niki with a project. Maybe one that Claire's dad is part of? Which is the definition of Patient Zero: to be started by a project or to be the first one found and examined in a world where things are conspiring to cause these evolutionary changes?
3. We did not get to see Niki's alter ego kill and part of that was because of the film being "blocked" on the camera or possibly Niki blanking out when getting to that part. What we did see was one person pinned to the wall with stuff in him. This was before we met Sylar, but it seems to be the Sylar modus operandi..
4. If we do look at what we saw of Sylar, we see a face under a cap, no sideburns, prominent rounded ears, a hint of a mustache. I see a totally feminine face, hair pulled back under a cap, maybe a fake mustache, collar up to hide a feminine neck. The coat offers an extra layer to hide less prominent shoulders but even still Sylar looks very wiry. Sylar doesn't touch her victims and therefore doesn't need physical strength. Another clue?
Now, we get to the most interesting part of all of it. Sylar does have a weakness and it is a pretty big one: Niki and even Micah. Part of it is protecting Niki, part of it is having to be Niki... and getting back to clean out that apartment in NYC (if Sylar did that) or to go out and kill.
I want to end on one small note. D.L. seems like an ominous character and a threat. But Micah unwaveringly trusts him. His judgment has been very clear, even surprisingly so to a distracted Niki. So if D.L. is not a killer, and we have no reason to believe either Micah or Niki are killers, D.L may be able to help protect them from the one person we do know who is a killer in that house: Niki's alter ego.
I read who is playing the part of Sylar but have we ever actually seen the actor on the show? They have kept his identity hidden as far as I can remember.
It's horrible what he is doing with the brains, even though we aren't sure just what he is doing.
As someone else pointed out to me, the freezing/boiling may in fact be a highly specialized form of telekinesis. Think about it. Temp is determined on the speed of the molecules moving. If you stopped all someone's molecules from moving, they would freeze. and the inverse, made them all move faster, they would melt.
I disagree that D.L. seems like an ominous or threatening character. So far it has been heavily implied if not outright shown that Niki is the one who committed the murders he's been convicted of. So all we know about him so far is that he's an innocent man. Sure, the cops think he's a threat but the cops don't know what we as the audience know.
sounds like a decent theory... have you also noticed that Evil Niki has been taking over for longer and longer periods of time?... a short while to kill the guys in the garage... a few hours setting up the burial... an entire night with Nathan... how long before it's a matter of days?...
however I believe it would take alot more time than Niki has had to do all the things that Sylar has supposedly done... I'm pretty sure that Micah would know if Nikki had been gone long enough to be C. Suresh's patient zero... and she has traveled all over the country and even spent seemingly extended periods of time living in another apartment in New York...
the impression I get from Micah and Nikki's relationship is that she stays at home almost all of the time, and Micah would act much differently towards her if he knew that she was doing so much out in the world... he got upset when she had to leave him for just one night
I'm skeptical of Evil Nikki being Sylar... but I do think that Evil Nikki framed DL and killed those other men at the burial site
Those images alone are proof positive - to me, at least, that Niki is definitely not Sylar. That, and after looking over the show, I have proof that Sylar's a man

Nice pics, Deejay. I also agree that Sylar is most likely a man. In that "enlightened" picture of Sylar, you can tell that he's got pretty prominent ears and sort of graying beard in the making. Not very feminine-like (god, I hope not!!)Have we seen anyone to this point that fits that description? I can't think of anyone. Two theories:
1. We have yet to meet Sylar, i.e., none of the characters thus far are or can be Sylar. (more likely)
2. That Sylar could be one of our characters that may have come back from the future (and thus has aged) in this particular scene, possibly by obtaining Hiro's abilty to transcend time (only one that could do that at least from what we know is Peter -- not that I agree with the whole Peter=Sylare theory). This one seems like a stretch to me though.
