I wanted to add just one thing to Ambience's well stated post:

Somewhere, somehow a Tsunami originated heading for Miami. Maybe it was natural, or maybe it man-made. I think the point Bob makes is this: The little band of original "Heroes" banded together and using together took all that mass of liquid H20 and transformed to water vapor and then ice-crystals (aka, snow). The actual process doesn't matter. The result is what matters.

We can sit here and debate endlessly on the merits of how it is or it isn't scientifically possible, but I think what impresses me more is the "Heroes" banding together for the common good... or did they? And was that the only time they act as the "Justice League"?

Wheels within wheels.....

That's a good point Herc. The other thing to consider is this. Who are the real enemies or threats on the show? In season 1 all of our Heroes banded together to stop NYC from blowing up, but who was the enemy? Linderman? Sylar? Actually it was Peter that had to be stopped, but of course Sylar had to be stopped as well so Peter could detonate in the air. Let's say the original 12 banded together, who were they trying to stop? Adam? Another type of Sylar? Or one of their own like Peter? It would seem strange or ironic the original 12 (those who we now call the Company) seem to be the ones who pose the greatest threat now. The lines are very blurred here!

And see, now you get to the interesting part of that "Headline" and where the show HEROES has gone wrong so far with Season 2, Volume 2: Generations.

We were promised so much more with "Generations", yet, what have we really learned about the Original 12?

That Maury Parkman is Matt's father and they have the same power.

Anything else?

Was Adam/Kensei the original threat OR was he an impetus for them joining together? Maybe he does want to save the world?

What is Bob's true aim?

What is Angela's power?

What is Kaito's power?

So even though "Volume 2" was titled Generations we haven't really learned anything. Have we? We actually have more questions than answers, don't we? Including this headline....

As I have said... I like my mythical interpretation of the 12 banding together... BUT I suspect, the answer might be a bit more unimpressive than that, and in fact, there might not have been a showdown of the order we show in the FINALE last year. Who knows? Will we ever find out?
