I'm thinking that the eclipse is more than a symbolism icon. I wouldn't be surprised to see that each eclipse can unlock more aspects of powers, or activate latent powers. That being said, since Monroe/Kensai has lived more than 400 years, he has to have been through a few power altering events. I mean look at Matt, he was steered into the deeper level of his power by just being convinced that there was more there. The possibility of Monroe / Kensai's abilities having changed either by the eclipse, or by meditation through the years is very possible. I ultimately think that the whole evolving powers thing is being left open by Kring and the writers so they have more material to work with in later story arcs.

Every ability that we've seen that has a second level has at least something to do with their initial ability.
Judging from how Monroe appears the same age after 400 years you are prolly correct, but there may be other aspects of his powers we also haven't seen yet. And the fact that the originals locked him up rather than disposing of him also lends towards immortality or invulnerability. The eclipse along with the cockroach may only be symbolism, but who knows, they may weave them both into the storyline later on in the series.
were just assuming he has been around 400 years.... they havent straight out said that he has lived all those years.... for all we know he could have been frozen and defrosted.... or he could have time traveled... lol.... anything could happen, its heroes!

frozen aint a bad idea. knowing that Hiro was from the future Monroe would've done the very hard thing of getting himself frozen, wouldn't kill him although he can feel pain. then thawt out 10 years ago...hummm. i'll work on this one.

I think Bob's line is just implying that if he WANTED to, he could do something MUCH worse than having it snow in Miami, IE a tsunami.

Yeah me neither because a tsunami wouldn't happen in the atmosphere like snow would. Tsunami isn't really weather related either is it? I thought tsunami's happened because of earthquakes or underwater explosions. Not really weather related in my opinion. Also tsunami's aren't supposed to be predictable, so that would mean there had to be someone else who saw/painted the future as well.

Anyone remember the interview with Adrian Pasdar last year? He spoke about Arthur Petrelli's death, and he said something like, "It's not what we are told," which to me means that it wasn't Linderman, since it was implied that Linderman's henchmen were going after Nathan and thus could have killed Arthur Petrelli. Although, I don't know if Pasdar was just bluffing or if the writers really did release (or even knew) that kind of information six months before Season 2 began. Pasdar did say something else in regards to Arthur's death, but I can't remember what it was right now... anyone remember?

But why not? It was still water. Remember when Sylar made snow in his mother's apartment? He wasn't freezing water droplets, he was freezing a spray of water from where it left the nozzle. Going by your logic, shouldn't the spraying water have turned into piercing icicles and not snowflakes?
I don't recall the scene entirely. Where was the water coming from that he turned into snow? Water vapor in the air? If so then yes, I could see that turning into snow, but I don't see how stopping a tsunami wave by freezing it would cause that to snow. Again, just my thoughts, you could 100% dead on, but my brain just isn't processing it that way.

You cant freeze a 200-foot tidal wave and it magically turns to snow. You'd just have a 200-foot block of ice.
