I'd take this with a pinch of salt, because Kristin at E!Online does NOT have a 100% track record with this stuff, but....

Sources tell me that Tawny Cypress, who plays Simone, is—drum roll, please—not off the show for good. Far from it! I’m told that even though she was “killed,” Simone is coming back, along with her father (Peter’s patient), in the season finale. It turns out she has abilities of her own, and as my source put it, “There are people on the positive and negative side. And Simone is on the negative side.” Gaah! Oh, and according to another source, “[Simone and her father] may have some ties to some other characters that we had no idea about before.”
Is she saying that Deveaux and Simone were/are active in primatech, and NOT secretly working for the good guys? This would make them unique amongst the evolved people employed by Primatech (so far, anyway).
Or is their "negative" influence in their connection to Linderman and the explosion?
Oh, and there's a pointless little bit about Sylar, too:

According to Heroes creator Tim Kring, “We learn about his home life and where he came from, and after that episode, your opinion of him may change.”
I'm saying it now, he's probably gonna be a Petrelli, lol, or the son (or grandson) of a German Jew, experimented on in the War...
Given the fact that time travel is possible (ie Hiro), just because a character dies, does not mean they are gone for good. So she could very well be in future episodes that have to do with past events.
Yeah, I read this elsewhere and didn't feel like posting it here. It kind of reminded me of this thread I made a while back.
Here's why:
"Simone Deveaux, the girl who was shot at the end of last week’s episode, will die. Sort of. While she may die officially as of this week, we will find out that she has a special power as well — the power to die over and over again, then (like the Phoenix rising out of the ashes) revive herself after 24 hours. This of course will mean that we’ll be seeing a morgue scene, soon — where Simone will wake up, freak out, and realize that everything she’s suspected about special powers is something affecting her as well. The power itself isn’t the most helpful because of the 24 hour down time, but it’s nice to know she can’t be killed!"
We already have three characters who don't stay dead. I think we are getting close to the point where more will be excessive. That's my opinion, but I think it's likely the writers will agree.
There have been contradicting spoilers in the past, so they can't all be true. But I'm pretty sure one of them (from Kring?) early on was that Simone and Mohinder would not have powers.
Simone wasn't my favorite character, but I don't want her to come back from the dead because we would pretty much have to stop taking death seriously at all on this show. So far, Jackie, Charles, Charlie, and Eden have stayed dead (and I liked Charlie and Eden better than Simone!). Peter, Claire, and Sylar have returned. If Simone doesn't stay dead, the odds of someone on the show staying dead will be pretty much a coin toss. Odds are already pretty good for coming back.
I'm definitely in agreeance there Pay. This is what I meant earlier (in a different thread) when I mentioned that seeing Claire continue to come back would lose all meaning and effect if they kept it up. Now it's spreading to other characters to the point it's taking over the show.
It was great when we saw Simone come back to life in the preview and say "You want to shoot me again?". But if she comes back, anything we've seen so far will have lost all meaning. What I mean to say is this: From now on, whenever we see a character get wounded, we can say "Well, there's a chance Linderman can bring them back". From now on, whenever we see a character die we can say "Well, they may come back in a couple weeks". It renders pretty much any death or injury on the show emotionless.
You know what I felt when I saw Claire hit her head on that tree branch and wake up in the morgue? Shock. Fascination. Intrigue. Sadness, at first. Happiness when I saw her wake up.
You know what I felt when I saw Claire get shot? "I wonder how long it's gonna take for her to get up."
The writings great, as far as narrative goes.... but they're potentially ruining any and all emotional ties we may have with the characters.
Firstly WoW good find Slippy that is a shocker i wonder what will be revealed about Sylar hmm.
AcidTwister I have to agree with you, that is a good point, they better have good storylines to spice up the plot with all this bringing back from the dead business
I remember reading in the Spoilerfix thread that Peter is supposed to be gaining Candace's ability - that'd mean meeting her sometime soon, and who's to say she's not going to do what she did to Isaac and turn into Simone? Sounds semi-plausible.
Claire is technically the only one who died and came back... IMO. She was dead and in the process of autopsy when she came back. She died when the post/branch stuck in her head, so damage to her brain (or a particular part) or an obstruction in her brain could kill her permantly if not "corrected." Claire can die and stay dead, she is not 100% invincible.
I guess it could be argued that Peter is just like that since he gained her ability. I am not on the "Sylar died and came back" bandwagon. I dont think he died so he didnt come back from death... maybe from near death.
If Symone has the ability to come back from death, then that is lame! I hope she wakes up in a coffin (a la the Bride in Kill Bill) and that is the end of that! She is a lame character, doesnt deserve a power, and should act as a catalyst separating Isaac and Peter.
Oh and if that wasnt the three you were talking about, Payquage, let me know which three you meant.
Great link Slippy! Although I take what Kristin says with a grain of salt.

Does the Company know about Peter's feelings towards Simone, though? They hadn't really showed an interest in him until after Homecoming, at which point Simone had started leaning back towards Isaac.
Something else that was implied by what you said (inadvertently, I think) is that, if Peter gains Candice's power, he may be able to make Simone come back to life himself. It won't be real, but it may be enough to mend some of the hurt he's felt about losing her.
Hi! I'm new but I wanted to say something here first because I really really really dont want Simone to come back. Not only because it will make us not care about people dying anymore which was a good point but because the men on the show don't need her messing up everything by making out with everyone. If they didn't have to save the world then I wouldn't care what she did but they have more important things to worry about than their feelings for her. They have plenty of distractions.
Also it wouldn't surprise me at all if she was on the bad side. She's good at making the heroes weak and making them try to kill eachother. Yep. She should stay dead. But of course she wont. blah.
Hehe, excellent first post there Lisasans9, and I wholeheartedly agree. I punched the air with joy when she was shot, and cried like a baby when I thought she was back, then punched the air with joy again when I found out it was just an illusion.
I think if Simone has an ability it's as some sort of catalyst for other people - her mere presence totally screws peoples' lives.
Sylar? He's misunderstood. Simone? Now THAT'S Evil!! LOL

Awesome first post, Lisasans, and welcome to the forum! I agree that bringing Simone back to life would seem like overkill - everybody can't have a power. On top of that, it looked as if Mohinder was on the verge of dying at the end of "Parasite," but in the preview it shows him fully alive. Too many people coming back from the dead = not fun.
Anyway, welcome again... and everybody - be extra nice to Lisasans! She's like my little Claire and I'm her HRG (lol... well, she's not really my daughter... we're just friends in real life... bah, you get it)
Dude, you're a benefactor, moderator and theory-master with 900+ posts and 100+ rep points to your name.
You said jump, and I think I speak for everyone on the boards when I say..."How high, sir?"
Haha, Slippy, you rock. But hey now, if I could "Assimulate spam and other quality luncheon meats," then I would definitely be a much happier person - that is your gift in addition to tagteaming with the lot of us when we're in hardcore theorizing mode
