I for one think they should be willing to give up any aspect or character if it will make for a compelling storyline. If art isn't needed in the story, they don't need paintings. If they need to kill off a character, regardless of how popular, for the sake of the story, then they need to do that. HRG is probably my favorite character, but he should have died. At least that's what I think now. The whole reviving him with Claire's blood after he got shot through the eye was just too much in my opinion. Even in a Sci Fi show where they create their own reality, that was just unbelievable. Not to mention it makes all deaths meaningless from here on out. That's my feeling now, though hopefully they'll regain some of my interest with season 3. Don't get me wrong. I still love the show and will watch it as long as it improves. Heck, I'll probably even consider buying the season 2 DVD set just so I don't have any holes in my collection. However, I really think story should come first, not popularity. If the story loses its base, the popularity goes too. So no character or aspect of the show should be immune to being dropped or killed off once it's lived through its usefulness. Painting may or may not fall into that category. But some characters need to stay dead, regardless of popularity, and they don't need to keep rehashing the same tired subplots and story elements just because people liked them the first time around. Come up with new elements that people will also like, if not more. That's how a show remains exciting. If you refuse to kill a popular character or give up a popular plot or story element, that says to me that you've reached your peak and can't create anything better. Don't be afraid to try new things storywise. Just my two cents.

Take this as a verrrrry small grain of salt... But here's what I found on imdb.com

Jamie Hector who plays Marlo on the Wire (the greatest show ever) will play the MAIN super villian for volume 3 named Benjamin Washington...also know as KNOX!!!!
KNOX is an escaped prisoner who runs on a rampage in New Orleans, his powers are to put it mildly "a combination of all". He kills Micah and that just the tip of the iceberg.
KNOX will redefine what villains are suppose to be for television.
To be honest Herc, the stuff they're talking about right now covers the GN, and not really Season 3.. (yet).
But I agree, we're not going to be seeing any more Heroes episodes until Season 3 starts, so we might as well get that thread going and leave off of Season 2, unless someone's got some insight into this poor excuse for a season that we haven't heard yet..
So Nathan will be back! Thank GOD! I hope he doesn't die as the poster suggests (later on) and I can't wait for Season Three. I felt bad they he felt shafted, poor guy! But it's great to be back with a new season on the horizon!
Hmm... thanks for the link, MPol, but it seems to have been deleted... I read one of the posts from March 5th, and the editor said that there was a recent troll post that has been deleted. Could this be the link you're referring to? If not, could you re-link us? Thanks!
