Does that mean we'll get new "Heroes" episodes this year?
This year, yes. This season, no. I posted above that a former Heroes writer said that even if the strike were to end immediately, they'd only get 4-5 episodes done. And that was said about 3 weeks ago. I believe he also said that if it didn't end by this coming week, the whole season is pretty much over.
Heroes isn't going to start shooting til June. Kristin reports:

HEROES (Updated)
What We're Hearing: It looks like Heroes won’t return until next season—but it could launch a little earlier than usual (late summer). Insiders tell us Milo Ventimiglia just signed a movie (scheduling conflict) and, moreover, executive producer Tim Kring is busy at work crafting a “series bible.” Word is, he wants to map out exactly where the series is headed (for many seasons) before Heroes goes back into production. We hear from crew members that they’ve been told they aren’t expected back on set anytime before June.
Well the "series bible" is good news...no more gaping plot holes? *crosses fingers*
I'm watching CBS 2 news (it's 6am, haven't gone to bed yet, lol), and the reporter just said that shows such as Grey's Anatomy and a few others won't have new episodes until April. "Shows with special effects, such as HEROES, will return in the fall."
There you have it...
I mean, it's something we should have completely expected... so it looks like we have to spend the next 7 months reading Graphic Novel after Graphic Novel... ~sigh~
Let's just hope that this "series bible" actually does something better with the plots and storyline than we saw in the second chapter. If not, then there's really nothing that we're going to really want to see.
However, I hold great faith that somehow Tim Kring will see the error of Chapter 2, and somehow pull from the ashes a great plot and story to continue on with in Chapter 3.
Anyway, that's just my hope and dream right now. I'm even willing to wait until the fall to see the end product if it means leaving the mess of Chapter 2 behind us, you know?
Kring says nothing about a bible in the link above, but that's not to say it doesn't exist, right? (Accusatory look at Kristin lol.) Honestly, the bible sounds cool and all....but I do have to say I kinda like the pacing they got from S1 writing it on the fly. I think that's what made S1 more likeable, because not only did WE not know what to expect.....the writers didnt either! I know a lot of good can come from planning ahead.....Im just worried if they plan too much ahead the series won't feel the same anymore. BUT the planning ahead COULD just end up making the show that much more amazing. Im just hoping that this longer hiatus doesn't ruin the show. Cuz honestly, as much as I love heroes, I have almost completely lost interest since there has been nothing new since the ridiculously short S2.

Have faith, Boys and Girls!!
I tend to have my precognitive moments (very often, in fact), and I think they are going to BLOW us away with "Villains." I can sense it now. I'm calling upon my "Meesta Eesok" ability. Lol
Finally some news, even though it's not in the form of spoilers. I am a huge fan of Tim Sale, the artist who producers the paintings for Issac, Peter and Sylar. Both Sale and Jeph Loeb are great friends. Here is what Loeb told Tim just the other day...

Talked to Jeph today. He was on his way to the studio for the first time in months, an experience he described as similar to the first day of school.
Isaac is dead, both Peter and Sylar have Isaac's power, but the direction that the show wishes to take, and wishes to take regarding the paint-the-future quality, is something I don't know. What Jeph was going to was the first writers meeting in months, and I imagine that the idea that art will have a place in the fall 2008 season of Heroes will somehow be discussed -- but not a priority. Keep ya posted.
