Okay, this new theory of mine is in regards to a character list I saw on IMDB regarding one of the upcoming episodes. Again, this is only a theory, but I will hide it with the spoilers button because the episode hasn't aired yet:

Just as a heads up, this theory may be a little far fetched... but still a possibility.
So, if you look at the episode entitled "Homecoming" in IMDB, take a look at the episode's cast. We can see that Chandra Suresh is supposedly casted to make an appearance. Immediately, the first thing that comes to my mind is, "Okay, so maybe some of this episode will take place in the past when Chandra was still alive (assuming that he really is dead)." Okay, fine, that's that. Now if we take a look at the next character on the list, we see that a girl is casted as "Cheerleader", and it's someone whom we've never seen before. Going along the lines that some of the episode may take place in the past, what if this "Cheerleader" is also a someone from the past? ... hmm... where could I be going with this theory? How about this...

How do we know that "Save the Cheerleader" means "Save Claire"? Sure, we know that Claire is a Cheerleader, and maybe the fact that she has powers singles her out and forces us to think that "Save the cheerleader. Save the world" means "Save Claire. Save the world," but isn't it possible that the cheerleader can be someone totally different? What if this cheerleader is someone new we haven't seen (like this new character that was casted in "Homecoming")? If Chandra Suresh really is in the episode, and some of it does take place in the past, could this new cheerleader girl be somebody that Suresh was involved with who possessed powers of her own?

Now, of course there are some (actually, probably a bunch of) holes in my theory, such as the fact that this "cheerleader" could simply just be an extra, or even just one of the cheerleaders on Claire's squad. Or also the fact that since IMDB has misled us with a few things (Sean Bean playing Sylar, etc...), Chandra Suresh being in the cast for the episode may be a mistake. Additionally, whenever NBC airs the "Save the cheerleader. Save the world" clip they show a picture of Claire, which further weakens this idea of mine.. Anyway, just another one of my crazy Popkorny food-for-thought theories.

That is an interesting theory. I think we will just have to see how it plays out.

Good theory, and one I've toyed with as well. But I think Future-Hiro gave just enough targeted information to present-Peter so Peter would know what to do. "Save Claire" could have him going off on all sorts of wild goose chases. Future-Hiro knew that Peter would see Isaac's painting of the cheerleader soon and make the connection.

It is also quite possible that Sylar's victims made themselves known somehow that may have been newsworthy or spread through gossip. If this is the case, it could very well be that the cheerleader that took the credit for saving the fireman is the one in danger since her face would be plastered all over the local newspapers (making her a target for further investigation).

What I do find interesting is how Peter (from NYC) can make the connection that it is a cheerleader from Odessa, TX. But that's part of the suspense I suppose. Very Happy

first time poster here...

Anyway, I think that it is Claire because when NBC does that "Save the Cheerleader, Save the world," think at the end of the show they actually show Claire between each phrase. It even makes sense that if Sylar had the power to recover from anything...he could concieveably test this theory by stting off a Nuke. Or maybe Claire's father goes crazy and starts a chain that leads to the destruction. Doesn't matter either way..I'm hooked!

I am a believer in NBC's placement on the ambiguous nature of providing a title, rather than a name. Meaning, yes, I think Jackie is in trouble, and will be killed for taking the publicity. Which means, she is the dead cheerleader in the painting, not Claire (all previously theorized, I am aware).

What I want to know about this is .... will Sylar and/or HRG collectively, or even someone else...PLEASE...kill all the cheerleaders in Odessa wearing red uniforms. Boy that would make things A LOT easier when chatting about the "Save the Cheerleader" motto.

Okay, maybe not kill, that is a bit gruesome. None of us want hott cheerleaders to die (even MsPlaced Wink

) How about...put them all on a cruise to Cancun for a few weeks, until Season 1 plays out ?!?! wink
