Email This! According to a Joblo.com scooper, Hayden Panettiere may be in line to play the female lead, Laurie, in the upcoming Rob Zombie film Halloween.

A longtime JoBlo scooper, who's delivered some scoops that have turned out to be on the money and some that have turned out to be a little confused. So take this with a grain of salt but said scooper says that the frontrunner to play Laurie in HALLOWEEN is none other than "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere. Says the JoBlo scooper, a deal is not done yet but Panettiere is the favorite of Zombie. I have my doubts that she would take the role in a gore/curse/nudity-fest like Zombie's HALLOWEEN, especially when she has a sugary pop album aimed at the tween audience coming out this spring. There are, reportedly, other actresses in the running but they're all waiting on word from Panettiere's camp.

I think she's too "bubblegum" to work in a Zombie film. Of course, the role of Claire isn't exactly bloodless . . . She could surprise us.

She is also 17 until August 21 (thanks Wikipedia) so there are some legal problems to her being anywhere near nude. Age is what kept the chick in Pirates of the Caribbean from getting kissing scenes in the first movie.

Hey, no need to get defensive!! I'm not sayin' she doesn't scratch my pole, too! I doubt she does the thing if she's trying to cultivate that bubblegum image, though.

Well, also, the movie is just in writing/planning stages. It may not film until later this year. And I didnt exactly bring it up. It was in the article.

The movie DOES have Malcolm McDowell in it, though. So at least it has one of our Heroes in there Razz
