Heh, with rumors rampant of Simone coming back to life (and the one which says she has a phoenix like ability), wouldn't it be funny if she's been killed by Sylar before only to have risen again the next day? As sarcastically as I meant it, I guess it might also explain why Peter's able to come back from the dead sometimes, but let's leave it at sarcasm and hope I'm wrong.

So, notice the Roach on the Manhole cover as the camera zooms in at the (almost) very end?
The next real question, where was Sylar hiding and how is it that he can always move up behind people instantly without making a sound (Even Peter mentioned that he was hiding in plain site)? I know he can use TK to fly (like) but he always seems to be able to approach without being seen, and always is able to be behind people...now maybe that is one of his powers...being able to surprise people from behind!
What if, one of his powers lets him change into a Roach (talk about a really lame power to find out you have)? Because, at this point in time we still don't know all of his powers.
So, not only do we see a roach on the manhole cover at the end of the Kirby Plaza scene, but in addition, when we last see Sylar, his eyes do a freak out thing in which a bunch of images flash by. The last image in Sylar's eyes is actually himself lying on the ground - and then -
nothing.
His eyes turn pure white. What if this moment signifies Sylar using the "roach" ability and preserving his life by "playing dead." This would mean that if Sylar is playing dead, he is most likely dragged into the sewer by someone/something else, as suggested by Action.
Peter's eyes turn white/cloudy in ".07%" when Sylar TK a glass shard to his brain. It symbolizes death somehow.
Maybe Sylar is near-death?
But here goes the wildest Theory:
Sylar is not dead, he is faking it, and at the same time looking into the future while on the floor.
Candice was knocked out by Niki. We did not get to see what happened to her near the end of the show again. Sylar can see/paint the future, Sylar saw Isaac's comic book from Ando.
Since there are things (e.g the bomb) that can't be prevented. Sylar just let it happen.... but not before he gets Candice's ability. He eats the brain of unconscious Candice, after that he confront Peter & HRG. The whole Hiro-stabbing Sylar thing could be illusion. Sylar wants the explosion to happen, so he TK Hiro away.
Then.... Peter pushes Nathan away just seconds before he explode. So the 2 brothers survive. Peter lose conscious and falls from the sky after the explosion. Nathan flies and pick him up. Nathan carefully put Peter on the floor, hoping that Peter will wake up. Just as he waits, Sylar appears from behind and cuts Nathan's head... eat his brain and attains his power of flight. He TK away the corpse and disguise himself as Nathan just before Peter wakes up, going all brotherly on him.
Season 2 (or whatever) can continue with Nathan/Sylar around.
I don't know if anyone mention this before.... would that possible sylar is dead and someone else drag him to the sewer? would that be the one worst than boggy man?
The ROACH is: The other EMPATH, the other villain, the one that's worse than the Boogyman, the spirit of ULURU.
There have been two types of appearances of the ROACH:
1) Metaphorical ones (like the ones that Mohinder stomps on), or the one that Dale mentions.
2) The one in Sylar's cell. This is the Boogyman, watching, protecting, inspecting, planing. This was the same Roach in Parkman cell. We could see the Roach, but they COULD NOT SEE IT!
This is the ROACH that went down the manhole into the sewer after taking Sylar down there. It was the boogyman. It was ULURU. It has to be.
